Celine Dion experienced something of a rebirth in 2017, and I think it’s safe to say that we all enjoyed—or were at least entertained—watching every minute of the iconic singer take the stage—both literally and figuratively.
It was a big year for the songstress, as it marked the 20th anniversary of her equally iconic ‘Titanic’ love song, ‘My Heart Will Go On.’
And, because she’s never done things by halves, her style was equally monumental, with a focus on couture.
Early on, she had me sitting up and paying attention with her white Stephane Rolland Couture gown that put any other rendition of bold shoulders to shame. Couture moments from Elie Saab and Zuhair Murad also provided plenty of sartorial eye candy.
It wasn’t just on stage that Celine Dion commanded attention.
Her street style took on a life of its own, as she owned every sidewalk she stepped on to easily cement her status as Street Style Star of 2017.
She made the sidewalk her own personal stage for off-duty looks that were extravagant performance pieces all their own.
I love how she unabashedly had fun with fashion—and never met a trend or a look she wasn’t willing to try. Even her Louis Vuitton silk loungewear was glammed up and ready to go.
No need to dress down when you can dress up, after all.
