Maria Dragus In Aquascutum & Escada & Christian Dior – ‘Light/Mademoiselle Paradis’ San Sebastian Film Festival Premiere

Maria Dragus turned heads day and night at the San Sebastian Film Festival. First, attending the ‘Light/Mademoiselle Paradis’ photocall on Monday (September 25). Later that day, the German-Romanian actress wowed at the film’s premiere.

‘Light/Mademoiselle Paradis’ Photocall: Opting for a dark colour palette, Maria wore a knee-length Escada skirt combined with a black Aquascutum jumper. The vivid tones of the whimsical appliqués were enhanced by the floral embroidery in the Christian Louboutin boots. I appreciate the way the shoes tied in the detail, but find their light colour distracts slightly from the rest of the look. The Dior bag and Jane Koenig earrings offered a more cohesive finish.

‘Light/Mademoiselle Paradis’ Premiere: Lighting up the red carpet, Maria donned a vivid Dior dress with lace overlay. The gown’s colour and lace fabric captivated, but it was the thin straps on the bodice that struck me. Black accessories, including Rene Caovilla shoes and a chain-strap Dior bag, contrasted the ruby dress.

Love the first h2t, it’s so inspired and cool. Want to love the second, but the unflattering hairstyle keeps throwing me off.

The dresses are both ok, but shame about the hair and shoes in both looks.

PS: more actresses attending San Sebastian Film Festival: Monica Bellucci, Paz Vega (in Malne), Elena Anaya (in Del Pozo and Isabel Marant), Leticia Dolera (in Elisabetta Franchi), Maria Leon (in Cavalli), Ingrid García Jonsson (in Dior), Barbara Lennie (in Dior -Max Factor Awards- and Nina Ricci), Ursula Corbero (in Oscar de la Renta), Mar Flores (in Malne), and more…

The red is stunning on her, but the styling is a complete let-down.

Love the 2nd look. Shame about the hair.

I quite like the first look, that richly coloured leather skirt is gorgeous and feels perfectly autumnal. In the evening look, that very severe hair style is not doing her any favours.
