Emerging Brand of 2015 – Self-Portrait

Unabashedly feminine with a calm, cool, and collected edginess, the London-based Self-Portrait design studio is a revelation.

For the good part of 2015, pretty young things have been reveling in the label’s equally pretty looks that are darling and just a little bit daring.

Red lace was never so classically dainty than in Abigail Spencer’s Azaelea midi dress while Ashley Madekwe proved that polka dots can be both playfully fun and playfully sexy in a cutout culottes ensemble.

Likewise, Rachel McAdams put the power of a good cutout on her side in an LBD that achieved the next level of greatness with impactful box pleating and ladylike tailoring.

Other fans of Self-Portrait include Gigi Hadid, Miranda Kerr, Chrissy Teigen, Olivia Wilde, and so many more, all of whom have embraced the line’s girly appeal and its all-grown-up sophistication.
