Daisy Ridley In Christian Dior & Giambattista Valli Couture – ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ Seoul Press Conference & Fan Event

While Lupita Nyong’o was in Mexico City, Daisy Ridley and the rest of the ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ crew headed to Seoul, South Korea for the press conference and fan event to promote the movie earlier today (December 9).

Press Conference: Continuing to set the red carpet alight, the British actress was looking very chic in her Christian Dior Resort 2016 black wool and checked Bar suit, styled with maroon pumps. I love how the exaggerated style and contrasting fabrics finish off this ensemble with authoritative feminine grace.

Fan Event: The red carpet newbie got her first taste of Couture wearing a Giambattista Valli LBD which conjures vintage feminine aesthetics with its ruffled layers accented with contrasting floral appliqueŐĀs and its prominent embellished collar.

Both looks are so impeccable from head-to-toe that I’d be hard pressed to pick a favourite.

Can you pick a favourite?

The second one’s okay, but the first is really unflattering.

Bad hair and shoes from both, tbh.

  3. Milla B. December 9, 2015 at 11:49 pm #

Both looks are great, but I prefer the first one

  4. Christine December 9, 2015 at 11:42 pm #

    I like the first look

Both looks are great but the Giambattista Valli is pure perfection!Exquisite!

I don’t like the first look in the slightest. Quite strange and VERY unflattering. The second look though, I do like. I love its romantic vibe and she’s working it. Love the shoes, her bun and her soft make up, they make it fresher.

    Both are awful. Yuck.

That first outfit is so hideous. Ridiculous looking. I do like those maroon pumps however.
The second is better, although I fail to see the excitement really. Its nice, and styled well.

+1. You took the words right out of my mouth. Hideous is exactly the first thought I had as well. The entire look is a miss for me. The 2nd look is fine, it’s pretty enough. I personally feel it was better executed on the runway.

Second look is way better better presented on the runway. I agree.

          just one ‘better’ lol

Not in love with either look, but I definitely prefer the second.
I think the design of the suit is pretty awful, actually. That weird peplum plaid piece over the waist is just not flattering at all!

Both looks are presented flawlessly. I choose 1st – chic and unconventional.

I love the idea of the Dior look, but I can’t help wishing that it was all one pattern. I think it would look better if it was fully check print.

The fit on the pants in the first look is off but the jacket looks great. The second look is okay but would have been so much better with different shoes such as the ones of the model.

KILLING IT!I have a feeling she’ll outdo both looks though until Friday

  14. Avika December 9, 2015 at 6:59 pm #

If anybody’s wondering – her stylist is Petra Flannery

    • Chris December 9, 2015 at 7:15 pm #

Oh! I indeed was wondering. That explains it. ūüėÄ Thanks for the info!

  15. The original AB December 9, 2015 at 6:55 pm #

I’m not keen on either look.

    The first one. ?

  17. Yeliz December 9, 2015 at 6:01 pm #

I do love both looks, but if I really had to pick a favourite, it’d be the Dior look, that suit is just gorgeous.

  18. Chris December 9, 2015 at 5:44 pm #

Both of these are perfection, but to me, the second one is the one that’s BDOTW-worthy.
If she continues like that, she might end up being my personal ‘best newcomer of 2015’. I mean, it’s still a bit early to tell since it’s just the beginning of this promo tour, but yeah, I already love what I’ve seen so far.
I also love the brands she (and her stylist) pick. Roksanda, David Koma, Giambattista Valli, Dior – it doesn’t get much better than that to me.
