Ashley Judd In Badgley Mischka – ‘Insurgent’ New York Premiere

Ashley Judd In Badgley Mischka - 'Insurgent' New York Premiere

Ashley Judd joined Zoe Kravitz at the ‘Insurgent’ New York premiere, held at Ziegfeld Theater on Monday (March 16) in New York City.

The actress impressed wearing a Badgley Mischka Spring 2015 floral-printed, plunge gown.

Not only does the lilac colour do her plenty of justice, she wore the captivating confection to perfection with a matching mulberry lip and soft waves that reflected the draping and movement of the dress.

I love how just the smallest detail of the architectural, statement shoulder subtly referenced a darker, futuristic spirit. That artistic embellishment took this gown to another level, putting a powerful edge on all that prettiness.

The gown is beautiful, I’m in love with the print. However, I wish the plunge were smaller.

I absolutely love this. It’s flowy, it’s feminine and I am loving the extra little oomph the shoulder detail is giving her. It’s nice to see Ashley back in the fashion game.

Striking design, beautiful color, gorgeous woman and the perfect amount of poise to nail this red carpet. She is the star here and the one to beat.

Definitely agree. She is of another level, just magnificent. I’m glad to see her climbing back at the top of her game.

I think she looks fantastic! Gorgeous dress!

She always has this odd fringe of short fur around the edge of her hairline, visible in closeup photos. Bizarre.

The dress is beautiful but far too low-cut. What’s next, topless? It would have looked classier and more elegant if the top had been an actual dress top rather than just an “I’m an aging actress but I look great – see?” talking point.

Not to mention in several shots, you can see the tape on her right breast.

And that silver bow on her shoulder is SO out of place.

Some more jewelry would have been nice.

Gorgeous colours but the shoulder detail is not needed.

O I think this dress is o so gorgeous! I have no problem with the neckline or shoulder detail. Alll amazing! The color is what I love most.
The only thing that feels off is her hair.

+1. The hair is too casual for this gorgeous dress and it doesn’t gel well with the look.

The colour and silhouette are soft and beautiful but the neckline is too open on her, too much bare chest, and that shoulder detail looks harsh and out of place to me. I’m not 100% sold.

I disagree about the shoulder detail, but agree about the neckline.

Overall I’d still say this is a win, but not perfect.

Completely agree. The color is beautiful on her! The neckline really does take away here.
