Meryl Streep In Lanvin – 2015 Oscars

Meryl Streep In Lanvin - 2015 Oscars

Meryl Streep graced the red carpet on Sunday (February 22) at the 2015 Oscars, hosted at Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre.

Dressed in custom Lanvin, Meryl was the epitome of chic and timeless in a tuxedo jacket, white blouse, and column skirt cinched at the waist with an art deco-inspired belt. I love that Meryl sticks to her own style at award ceremonies, and this year’s Oscars were no different.

Meryl accessorized with a Salvatore Ferragamo clutch, Jimmy Choo ‘Kuki’ shoes, and chandelier earrings.

This is a simple and to the point style for Hollywood’s biggest night. Do you love it, too?

I love it on her though.. She is Merlyn with al the awards she has including the Oscars even if she wears a sack it wont matter..

    Once again, I’m underwhelmed.

Lanvin gets Meryl. This is a simple look but it works for her. She is owning it like a boss.

  4. Bailey February 24, 2015 at 02:50 #

I think this looks great on her!

  5. Phoenix February 23, 2015 at 17:45 #

She looks pretty kick-ass to me. Although not for the Oscars at all. But I like it anyways.

I love Meryl but I wish she would wear a great gown just once. The thing I don’t like her is the too white makeup.

I think I would like this more without the blazer. She looks good though.

I like this. Men can walk around in the black tux they’ve worn five shows in a row. She’s working it and she looks comfortable and happy.

It suits her style and I think she looks gorgeous.

Typical Meryl. Slightly better because it fits. She always looks like she just pulled it out of her closet.
Every year I hope to be delighted….still waiting.

I can cope with the outfit but there’s nothing I like styling-wise. The jewelry brings nothing to the look, the hair could’ve been better and the makeup is esp. hideous. She looks pale as ever.

I LOVE this, but I think the hair is meh. Imagine if she had styled her hair with a parted do and soft waves.

  12. Sanya February 23, 2015 at 09:24 #

She looks great. This is so flattering for her figuer, and makes her look both younger and sexier.

  13. Valissa February 23, 2015 at 05:34 #

Very chic and a great look for Meryl. She’s probably over the Oscars at this stage so not surprised she doesn’t go all out lol

Good point, lol. I think she looks great.

i loved this and the belt was a beautiful detail. Meryl looks elegant and classic.

    Perfect for her.

  17. Alina February 23, 2015 at 04:42 #

It’s not her best Oscars look, but… she’s Meryl.

  18. EmmaWoodhouse February 23, 2015 at 04:22 #

I got to say, I wasn’t sure at first, but I kind of love it. It’s so Meryl but it’s put-together and chic. Very ’30s, I feel.

I agree, this looks like Old Hollywood studio executive or screwball heroine, which is totally fine for the Oscars. Given what she sometimes wears I’ll take a look well crafted, if casual, like this anytime.

    For Directors Guild Awards maybe…

  20. Amber February 23, 2015 at 04:10 #

I think this is this the best award look from her in a while

    • ayatlaw February 23, 2015 at 14:51 #

+1 No matter how underdressed others may feel she is; this a good look offering from Meryl. I’ll take it.

  21. Peony February 23, 2015 at 04:09 #

Love this- elegant, chic, totally effortless. She doesn’t need to try to impress.

    • Fiona-Brasil February 23, 2015 at 09:07 #

      + 1

  22. Marybeth February 23, 2015 at 04:07 #

She looks great but…is she interviewing for a job as a bank teller?
    This is not remotely Oscar-worthy.

  23. Amanda February 23, 2015 at 04:03 #

I do love it. Perfect for Meryl.

  24. Yeliz February 23, 2015 at 04:03 #

It all works, but it’s still underwhelming for the Oscars.

  25. Christine February 23, 2015 at 04:01 #

Meryl is not known to go for big or grand, but this is so low-key. Even for her.
