Mindy Kaling In Salvador Pérez - 17th Costume Designers Guild Awards

Mindy Kaling attended the 17th Costume Designers Guild Awards held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Tuesday (February 17) in Beverly Hills, California.

Trusting Salvador Pérez to create her red carpet look once again, the costume designer didn’t let her down with this gorgeous green strapless layered dress.

Mindy never fails to leave me in awe with her red carpet looks, and this elegant offering is no exception. I love the gold lace embroidery, which gives this Hollywood look a distinct Bollywood flourish.

A truly undervalued red carpet starlet, the look was perfectly styled with gold accessories, with a deep berry lip and high braided ponytail rounding out the look.

The Princess Jasmine vibe is actually working for me! I LOVE this and I love Mindy Kaling. <3

This must have looked better in person because in photographs, the makeup looks harsh and the dress makes MIndy look stumpy.

The dress looks badly made. Cheap, bad makeup; why is this even at the CDGA?

    The dress looks cheap

Girl, that is one scary makeup

I don’t like the hairstyle, but the dress is nice.

The hole outfit plus make up and hair do looks for me pretty customey. It is not making her any favor at all.

Not really a fan of the hairstyle or the gown, but the colour looks amazing on her.

I love the reference to Bollywood and the overall styling but maybe this dress makes her look a little bit boxy and the bodice is too high, making her look shorter. Otherwise, I love that green shade on her skin.

Exactly. What this gown does is accent her shortness. The bodice goes up a bit too high and the floor length in this shape stumpifies her.

I love the colour on her but the whole look is just a little Disney Princess for me.

+1 Like a Disney princess is the perfect way to describe this
