Prada hosted an evening to celebrate the latest chapter of ‘The Iconoclasts’ installation project with a private viewing of their collaboration with distinguished costume designer Arianne Phillips during New York Fashion Week on Thursday (February 12).
Hailee Steinfeld: Even with the vivid print of the trousers and the steely blue colour of her top, what captivates me here is her makeup, especially that plump red lip. The look itself is an eclectic mix of pieces from Prada’s Spring 2015 collection featuring a coat with contrast stitching, which was a signature of said collection.
Bonnie Wright: The British actress has long been a member of the Prada family. On this occasion she wore a Prada contrast-stitch dress that echoes her style sensibility: simple, classic, no fuss.
Gabrielle Union: The ‘Being Mary Jane’ actress was not about to let the sub-zero temperatures of the city come between her and her Prada crop-top look. The touch of sparkle accented on her pleated skirt gives this causal offering an after-dark flourish. Black Prada sandals and Vale jewels completed her easy breezy look.
Brittany Snow: The actress wore a trans-seasonal nude and Bordeaux look from Monique Lhuillier’s Pre-Fall 2015 collection. This look was my favourite from this event for its easy wearability and ladylike appeal. With snow on the ground, my thoughts are that perhaps nude pumps would’ve been a better option than her Tamara Mellon sandals, but this is a great look nonetheless.
Zosia Mamet: The ‘Girls’ actress was all smiles at this event wearing a Prada Spring 2015 look featuring a classic trench coat silhouette given a modern twist with a layered underskirt. I have to say I don’t hate it. The look seems to suit her style and she looks comfortable in it, which is always half the battle.
