Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup 8 jan

Here is a quick menswear round-up from the 2014 People’s Choice Awards and other events this week.

Ben Affleck: The handsome ‘Gone Girl’ actor collected his ‘Choice Humanitarian Award’ at the People’s Choice Awards for his work in the Congo from Amy Adams wearing a Gucci Made to Measure grey notch-lapel two-button three-piece suit styled with a white evening shirt, blue silk tie and leather lace-ups.

Kit Harington: The British actor was looking very suave in his black slim-fit Lanvin Homme suit styled with Jimmy Choo lace-ups for the ‘Testament of Youth’ London premiere on Monday (January 5) alongside co-star Alicia Vikander. It was a cold night, but he looks oh-so-very hot.

Chris Evans: The actor collected his ‘Favourite Action Movie’ award at the People’s Choice Awards, opting for a dressy-casual Gucci look consisting of a navy cashmere V-neck sweater with a plaid dress shirt, black silk tie, black trousers and black leather lace-ups. This has me swooning as much as Kit Harington in his classic suit.

Dax Shepard: It was date night for the Shepard-Bells, who had their first night out on the red carpet since Kristen gave birth to their second child. The actor shunned the expected black suit for something with much more flair, donning a maroon-hued suit. I am having some trouble getting on board with the trousers; while they look too long, something tells me this was the intended style.

Jack O’Connell: The British actor continues to serve up sharp suits, this time donning an Alexander McQueen black two-button suit on the red carpet for the National Board of Review Gala.

Ethan Hawke: Also opting not to go for black, Ethan attended the TimesTalk Presents: ‘Boyhood’ event wearing a biscotto-hued suit from Prada’s Fall 2014 collection styled with a brown tie and leather lace-ups. This is a colour we don’t often see on the red carpet, but somehow I think he manages to make it work.
