Jennifer Lopez was on ‘The Today Show’ at Studio 1A in New York City on Thursday (September 4), where she shocked co-hosts Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb with a surprise appearance to chat motherhood, music and more.

Exchanging her typical glittery, bodycon styling for a more daytime-appropriate ensemble, the entertainer still rocked a leggy look—and she didn’t eschew all embellishment.

Her decoratively adorned Alexis Mabille Resort 2015 black top was aflutter with dimensional metallic butterflies, which she paired with a black skirt, blush-nude Jimmy Choo heels and a flirty ponytail.

Seeing another side of Jenny from the Block is always refreshing—this being a sweeter, more whimsical departure from her standard-issue sultriness and sparkle.
