Evangeline Lilly In Catherine Deane – ‘The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug’

Evangeline Lilly In Catherine Deane - 'The Hobbit The Desolation Of Smaug'

Evangeline Lilly attended the premiere of ‘The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug’ held at TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, California yesterday evening.

There was something quite magical and fantastical about her Catherine Deane two-tone grey gown, which consisted of an embroidered top and flowing pleated skirt.

I love how it evokes the Middle Earth mood while still being current and glamorous.

Opting for a single bracelet, she completed the look with kohl-rimmed eyes and a fishtail braid.

ThoughI would have preferred a lower romantic style braid, thanks to this elvish-inpiration dress, Evangeline has just hit the nail on the head.

‘I love how this evokes the Middle Earth mood, while still being current and glamorous’. Absolutely agree! The dress is really beautiful, she looks great, but the hair is a little shaggy.

I don’t like the top. Gives me a sports bra/sweatpants top vibe.

I think this dress is ethereal and so lovely. It puddles like a poof of smoke or fog. I could do without the hair (bangs and braid).

I know this sounds mean . I don’t mean it to but if I had those ears I would not wear my hair like that. She is such a pretty girl but all I can see is her ears. I thought she was still in Hobbit gear

Ugly dress . Ugly colour . It looks like the result of something white that I washed when a black sock was left behind by mistake.

This is SO pretty! Indeed, just like you said, FC “it evokes the Middle Earth mood while still being current and glamorous”
I love the gray, normally I do not like gray but this I really like. BDOTW!

I don’t love her bangs, but the rest is amazing!

Quite surprised that Cate Blanchett didn’t attend the premiere.

Completely agree! I love the dress but her bangs are slightly too long.
