Kate Beckinsale In Oscar de la Renta & Elie Saab Couture – Qingdao Oriental Movie Metropolis Ceremony

Kate Beckinsale In Oscar de la Renta & Elie Saab Couture - Qingdao Oriental Movie Metropolis Ceremony

Kate Beckinsale joined Nicole Kidman for the launch ceremony of the Qingdao Oriental Movie Metropolis in Qingdao, China earlier today.

Her first look was an ultra chic two-piece Oscar de la Renta Spring 2014 ivory dress with a black jersey waist, which was pepped up with red-hot Brian Atwood ‘Cassandra’ pumps. I just love the retro styling with the chic bouffant accented with a black headband.

Upping the style stakes for the second look; the British actress wore a beautiful nude Elie Saab Couture gown from the Fall 2012 collection featuring a high-neckline, open back and gold appliqués which she styled with nude Brian Atwood ‘Wagner’ peep-toes (shockingly, as she hardly ever wears peep-toes), dazzling jewels and a high ponytail.

This may surprise you, but I adore the first look. Mostly because it’s such a different look for her, but also the red pumps sell this look to me.

It’s great to see her back on the red carpet.

I love both looks. The second one is slightly more accessible, fell in love with it right away, while the first one is more subtle, but grew on me within minutes.

I don’t really like the first look, except for the awesome red pumps. The second one, however, is pretty great. But what I love the most is her smile, it just sells the look for me.

Love the first look. Her styling makes it. Also, she looks better in the Elie Saab than the model.

I do like the pop of color in her first look with theses red pumps. However, the dress itself looks like a knock off from this Chanel dress:

I think they’re totally different, and it’s coincidental. That’s been four years and many collections ago. I see what you are seeing though, there are similarities.

I love the first look neck down. I just don’t like her hair and headband. It would’ve been better with a simple ponytail.
The second look is lovely but nothing special IMO

The first look is way too busy for me. The hair band, the big earrings, the black center, the red pumps. Just too many things competing with each other. But I adore the ES look. Simple and elegant. Classic Kate.

I agree. Too much going on in the first look. I like the Elie Saab too.

The Oscar de la Renta look is my favourite too.
