Olivia Palermo In BCBG Max Azria – 2012 Convivio

Olivia Palermo’s fashionable travels took her to Milan, Italy last night, where she attended the 2012 Convivio charity gala event.

Dressed in a brightly coloured hue, the star looked beautiful wearing a BCBG Max Azria dress.

Her look features red-and-ecru blouse with an asymmetrical layered maxi skirt.

Usually Olivia is all about the accessories, but I’m not a fan of the brown croc belt and the black suede clutch combo.

A strange disconnect for Olivia. I can’t say I’m too enamored by her shade of foundation either.

Carrera y Carrera jewels, a sweeping updo and Boutique 9 ‘Doetzen’ strappy bi-colour sandals completed her look.

You can buy Olivia’s Boutique 9 sandals from Kurt Geiger.

Her second not so great look. She looks a mess. Is she under the weather?

i really dislike this look, the clutch and the belt don’t work at all,the shoes are nice but not as a part of this look, and the makeup is truly horrendous.

    The shoes are lovely.
The dress *might* have worked had the waist been higher (i.e. where the belt is). Like this it doesn’t work.
    Hate hate hate her makeup.

      +1. make-up is horrific.

Dress is horrific, both on her and on the runway. But I adore, adore, adore the shoes.

I like the whole look except for the belt. I wish it were black and sat around her hips.

Where is she in all this fabric? This dress overwhelms her and it isn’t pretty enough to make that worth it.

I find the placement of her belt to be jarring. The colour is beautiful on her, but the fit is not. I do love the shoes, very simple and stylish.

The foundation is probably a shade lighter than the one she actually needs, that’s what makes her skingtone a bit ashy and grayish. That usually happens at the beguining of summer when we are more tanned than in winter, but we haven’t swapped to the summer foundation (usually a shade or two darker)….

The main problem with her dress is that it hasn’t been tailored, and she is not tall enough to wear it as it is. She souldn’t have worn a belt at her natural waist neither, considering the dress sits at her hips.

On the bright side, the color looks great on her, and the shoes are to die for. She gets a pass from me, but I admit I’m not partial, I really like her style 🙂

    Nice shoes! But…..

If I were her mother and saw this uncharacteristically bad make-up and styling, I would be picking up the phone to check up on her.

What happened to her? I love her looks usually – but the last two appearances of hers have been bad!!

i really like this dress, but belt at wrong place and not sure if this is for her

The hair style ages her.I dont like belt. Two fails in a row. I know she will be back, I will keep the faith

her makeup make her looks like MJ lol

That belt is way too awkward for the dress. If the belt was removed, it would be miles better. Besides that tragedy, she does make the dress itself look more appealing than the runway picture.

However I can’t help but think Florence Welch would’ve made this look more interesting.

    What’s happening to her?

    • andrea June 8, 2012 at 19:17 #

Agreed, what is going on with Olivia she used to be top notch

    • EmmaWoodhouse June 8, 2012 at 19:53 #

I know! Seriously, this look is a joke!

  16. robbie June 8, 2012 at 15:17 #

wish she had worn the belt along the seamline, would have been nicer if she wore the runway belt, the shoes are perfect though.

  17. Odette June 8, 2012 at 15:11 #

This look isn’t doing anything for her. I agree, the belt and the clutch don’t work. But her shoes are very chic.

wow, awful make-up and awful styling…you can’t just add a waist belt to a drop waisted garment and expect it to look ok

    • Parvati June 9, 2012 at 02:34 #

      I totally agree!

When I first saw the picture, I was like: “she looks CREEPY! like a ghost” and yes, it’s because of the foundation she used.

Dear Olivia, you’re beautiful, but get rid of the clutch and wash your face :))

  20. Yeliz June 8, 2012 at 15:04 #

Unfortunately, I only like her shoes.
