Rashida Jones In Andrew Gn – 2015 Vanity Fair Oscar Party

Rashida Jones In Andrew Gn - 2015 Vanity Fair Oscar Party

Rashida Jones attended the 2015 Vanity Fair Oscar Party held at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts on Sunday (February 22) in Beverly Hills, California.

Oozing a quiet elegance, a touch of boho flavour and showcasing her love for colour, Rashida blew me away with her fanciful floral bloom Andrew Gn Spring 2015 gown.

I love how subtle drama was created via the strategically pleated skirt for an extra-voluminous pouf.

The delightful shoulder ruffles, the colours, those breathtaking Lorraine Schwartz emerald earrings, that pink lip – I’m captivated by it all.

Ashley Greene In Rachel Roy – 2015 Vanity Fair Party

Ashley Greene attended the 2015 Vanity Fair Oscar Party held at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts on Sunday (February 22) in Beverly Hills, California.

The actress wore a Rachel Roy macramé lace dress that was perhaps my least favourite look for this event.

No, it doesn’t have to have sparkles or a big poufy skirt to get my attention, but it does have to not read boring, and that is all I get from this look.

To add insult to injury, this is a re-run, having first been worn by Kim Kardashian back in March last year.

The actress styled her below-par dress with Sophia Webster ‘Coco Flamingo’ pumps and a gold clutch.

Lily Collins In Zuhair Murad Couture – 2015 Vanity Fair Oscar Party

Lily Collins In Zuhair Murad Couture - 2015 Vanity Fair Oscar Party

Lily Collins attended the 2015 Vanity Fair Oscar Party held at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts on Sunday (February 22) in Beverly Hills, California.

Upon sight of this sheer black beaded lattice tuxedo wrap evening gown from Zuhair Murad’s Fall 2014 Couture collection, my first thought was they – you – aren’t going to like it.

I absolutely love it. Here’s why. This is a more grown-up look for Lily. She’s done the princess thing to death, so why not head in a new direction?

Sheer isn’t always trashy; it’s all in the way you wear it and Lily is wearing it well and with ease.

A selection of jewels courtesy of Nasrin Imani, Harry Kotlar and Martin Katz accessorized her look along with a simple black clutch.

One of the best of the night for me.

Emma Stone In Altuzarra – 2015 Vanity Fair Party

Emma Stone In Altuzarra - 2015 Vanity Fair Party

Emma Stone attended the 2015 Vanity Fair Party, hosted at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts on Sunday (February 22) in Beverly Hills, California.

Looking to another era for inspiration, the actress channeled vintage glamour in a plunging red, pleated gown with deco-inspired sequined embroidery from the Altuzarra Fall 2015 collection.

The dropped-waist, above-the-ankle silhouette had the spirited influence of flapper styling.

I’m not a huge fan of the lace, scarf-like detail, as it feels like a mere afterthought here, although it saves the neckline from verging on too bare.

She styled the retro-facing look with black Christian Louboutin ‘Just On’ sandals and the same wavy ‘do from earlier in the evening.

With plenty of love and also loathing directed towards her chartreuse Oscars gown, how does her ruby-red dress rate?

Marion Cotillard In Giambattista Valli Couture – 2015 Vanity Fair Party

Marion Cotillard In Giambattista Valli Couture - 2015 Vanity Fair Party

Marion Cotillard attended the 2015 Vanity Fair Party, hosted at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts on Sunday (February 22) in Beverly Hills, California.

The French beauty again opted for a non-Dior look, donning a Giambattista Valli Spring 2015 Couture ensemble.

I take no issue with the top that was magnificently encrusted with an array of metallic and multicolour embellishment, nor the artfully constructed, cloud-like folds of the skirt.

I, however, cannot get on board with the black-and-white bow-like appendage that wrapped sportily around her waist. Enough is enough with this look—and that addition was too much.

For those that found no favour in her earlier Oscars outing, I’m not sure this effort will win many more points.

Karolina Kurkova In Schiaparelli Couture – 2015 Vanity Fair Party

Karolina Kurkova In Schiaparelli Couture - 2015 Vanity Fair Party

After the Oscars, Karolina Kurkova made her way to the 2015 Vanity Fair Party at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts on Sunday (February 22) in Beverly Hills, California.

Making the requisite outfit change, the supermodel flaunted a completely different look, this time a Schiaparelli Spring 2015 Couture dress that didn’t scrimp on the pizzazz factor.

While her first gown was business in the front, party in the back, this festive little number brought the revelry from all angles, glittering in tonal sequin embellishment.

Here, she was her own gift, wrapped with ribbons and ribbons of colourful bows, which were added some tongue-in-cheek sass to this glam statement.

Taking into account one of the ribbon hues, she painted on a chic burnt-orange lip and finished the look with her swept-back bun.

Many of you were opposed to her first look of the night as being too underwhelming. Does her second entrance catch your fancy?

Natalie Portman In Christian Dior – 2015 Vanity Fair Party

Natalie Portman In Christian Dior - 2015 Vanity Fair Party

Natalie Portman attended the 2015 Vanity Fair Party at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts on Sunday (February 22) in Beverly Hills, California.

As we’d expect, the actress was dressed in a Christian Dior gown. Less expected, but very much welcomed, was that she actually continued to move outside of her favoured black comfort zone.

All the more reason that she was a vision in this creamy ivory design, with a plunging V-back, as she worked its simple, clean lines to perfection.

She styled the look with a silver metallic Eddie Borgo minaudiere alongside a petal-pink lip and dazzling, emerald-green earrings that I won’t soon forget.

If I were to nitpick, it would be aimed towards the buttoned sleeves that bunched a bit too much for my liking and could have used a nip and a tuck.
