Emilia Clarke In Zac Posen - amfAR New York Gala To Kick Off Fall 2013 Fashion Week

My first ever post on Emilia Clarke was entitled ‘Who’s That Girl?’ back in June, 2011.

Over a year and a half later, the answer to that question is a ‘Games Of Thrones’ actress who’s set to make her Broadway debut in March as none other than the infamous Holly Golightly, made famous by Audrey Hepburn in the 1961 film, ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s’.

Before reaching those dizzy heights, the British actress took to the red carpet at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City last night for the amfAR New York Gala to kick off Fall 2013 Fashion Week.

Oozing glamour and sporting the much-loved hairstyle of the moment, the Veronica Lake, Emilia wore a Zac Posen gown.

Her rich maroon plunging gown was styled with an oversized eggplant satin sash tied to the waist.

Even with that somewhat overpowering detail, she’s not overwhelmed by it.

Amanda Seyfried In Zac Posen - 2013 SAG AwardsBest cast nominee for her role in ‘Les Miserables,’ Amanda Seyfried took to the red carpet at the 2013 SAG Awards held at the Shrine Auditorium in California—and she dressed to impress.

Like a handful of other stars, she went for a moody, dark midnight-blue hue. But her Zac Posen Pre-Fall 2013 stunner was definitely unlike anything else seen tonight.

The fitted design with a strapless, sweetheart neckline plunged into a cascade of tiered layers at the bottom that forged a fabulous trail behind her.

A Lorraine Schwartz long pendant necklace was Art Deco-inspired and utterly sublime. It’s always great to see thoughtful and edgy jewelry on the red carpet.

The actress topped it all off with glossy, long blonde waves and that oh-so-trendsetting side part, which glamorized this ensemble even more.

I liked everything about Amanda’s look—from the sculptural and sophisticated quality of the dress, to the navy color against her alabaster skin, and the outside-the-jewel-box necklace.

Amanda is turning into quite the fashion girl.

Naomi Watts in Zac Posen - 2013 Golden Globe Awards

My other ‘lady of the moment’, Naomi Watts, opted for a deep, dark hue on a cold night in California for the 2013 Golden Globe Awards.

While some actresses were visibly shaking on the red carpet, Naomi looked stunning wearing an oxblood Zac Posen gown with a keyhole detail, open back and dramatic train.

In typical Posen style, the gown was fitted to perfection, hugging Naomi in all the right places.

She styled the look with Casadei heels, a gold Ferragamo clutch and complementary ruby earrings.

A retro faux bob completed her breath-taking look.

2013 AFI Awards

Here are the rest of the attendees who took to the red carpet on Friday afternoon at the Four Seasons Los Angeles in Beverly Hills, California for the 2013 AFI Awards.

Kiernan Shipka: Why Elle Fanning won Best Dressed Teen 2012 over Kiernan I will never quite understand, as the ‘Mad Man’ actress’ style prowess and infinitely better shoe closet leaves Fanning in the shade for me. On this occasion she wore an uber cute yellow Valentino frock with satin black trims paired with simple black Rupert Sanderson ankle-strap sandals. Light makeup and a simple bun complete her fresh, youthful look.

Lena Dunham: There was much debate over Lena’s previous look with some saying that she’s “just-not-that-into-fashion” and others arguing that she needs to play that game. Well it looked like she upped her game at this event wearing a figure flattering Zac Posen grape cape-sleeve dress with a flared skirt. Silver glitter Charlotte Olympia ‘Kitty’ flats and a berry lip colour to complement her dress completed her look.

Sally Field: The actress selected a grey-and-white Stella McCartney short sleeve dress with a white lace overlay which we’ve also seen on Michelle Dockery. Grey pearls and grey pumps perfect her day time chic look.

Our best dressed of the week winner, Naomi Watts, was looking gorgeous as she glided down the red carpet at the ArcLight Cinerama Dome in Hollywood, California last night joining her co-star Ewan McGregor.

Dressed in a Zac Posen Resort 2013 open-back gown, she evoked an Old Hollywood look by styling her petal-print gown with a retro ‘do.

J/Hadley green-and-pink sapphire earrings and a Jennifer Meyer ring were the perfect finishing touches to her glamorous red carpet look.

Does this look have BDOTW potential? Or has this week been too strong already for this to feature?
