Vera Wang’s Spring 2011 draws on an emotional and creative inspiration from Quentin Tatantino’s “Kill Bill”.

It was a fusion of East meets West with a mixture of boyish urban sophistication and romantic otherworldly sensuality.

We saw culottes paired with either structured or loose fitted tops, Japanese silk floral print dresses, kimono blouses, wrap peasant pants and jersey tunics.

Key accessories included super high black and grey peep-toe booties, thick black sumo rope belts and Vera’s trademark statement necklaces.

I loved the obi pieces. Vera wasn’t afraid to go voluminous with her folds in this collection. With every editor in the front row, I can imagine these looks being selected for editorials.

Apart from the floral prints, the tulle layered dresses in spring colours of orange, baby blue and pink would be popular with young Hollywood. I just loved the flowing trains.

The models voluminous buns replaced the Snooki style the models sported during Vera’s Fall 2010 collection.
