HBO’s Official Golden Globe Awards After Party

Fashion Blogger Catherine Kallon features HBO's Official Golden Globe Awards After Party

There were more stars in attendance at the many post-globes parties, than the main event it seems. Here is a look at those who attended HBO’s party on Sunday (January 6).

Angela Sarafyan: The’ Westword’ star was the one person we were all excited to see on the red carpet in 2018. Angela got her 2019 campaign underway wearing a pretty pink Cushnie Resort 2019 gown styled with matching pink earrings, proving last year was no fluke.

Tiffany Haddish: The actress wore a custom Michael Kors Collection that methinks deserved to be on the red carpet at the main event.

Alison Brie In Vera Wang – 2019 Golden Globe Awards

Fashion Blogger Catherine Kallon features Alison Brie In Vera Wang - 2019 Golden Globe Awards

Bows have been a popular detail at the 2019 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday (January 6) and Alison Brie was another one championing the trend.

The ‘Actress in a Musical or Comedy TV Series’ nominee graced the red carpet in a powder blue custom Vera Wang dress.

The princess style was juxtaposed with the trailing black ribbon bows and a richly embroidered bandeau top.

The contrasting crop top will likely make or break the look. It’s a unique silhouette, especially when layered under the chiffon top, but I bet many will wish it was crafted in a pale blue.

Harry Winston jewels completed her look.

Taraji P. Henson In Vera Wang – 2019 Golden Globe Awards

Fashion blogger Catherine Kallon features Taraji P. Henson In Vera Wang - 2019 Golden Globe Awards

Taraji P. Henson took the plunge at the 2019 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday (January 6) in Beverly Hills, California.

The ‘Empire’ actress has been known to play to her sexy strengths, and that’s exactly what she did here in a custom Vera Wang gown.

Velvet has been showing up a fair number of times tonight, and this dark, emerald-green gown gets added to that plush list.

I do wish the neckline had been a bit less gaping — or perhaps it was just those dazzling diamonds drawing even more attention to her décolletage.

Constance Wu In Vera Wang – 2019 Golden Globe Awards

Constance Wu had her princess moment at the 2019 Golden Globes on Sunday evening (January 6).

The ‘Crazy Rich Asians’ actress wore a custom Vera Wang dress which presented a more refined take on whimsical style with the neutral fabrics and burnt orange ribbon belt.

Some will likely do a double take with the second-skin top but the trick works in the outfit’s favor because it balances the frothiness of the skirt.

If I were to nitpick, I’d like to see the waistline of the skirt lowered a touch.

Rita Ora Has Five Major Fashion Moments In Three Days

Fashion Blogger Catherine Kallon features Rita Ora In Jean Paul Gaultier Fall 2018 Haute Couture - Out In New York City 'Phoenix'

Whilst promoting her new album ‘Phoenix,’ Rita Ora had no shortage of five major fashion moments in only three days. This comes after her dressy outing for ‘Live with Kelly and Ryan’. If you were loving every minute of that extravagant look, then just wait for this next set.

Upon departing The Mercer Hotel in New York City on Monday (December 17), the songstress rocked a dramatic design from the Jean Paul Gaultier Fall 2018 Haute Couture collection. An avant-garde raincoat with the sharpest Le Smoking tailoring was served up here — with the bauble earrings, sci-fi sunglasses, and hot-pink lip only adding to the modern Matrix vibe.

The Kardashian-Jenners – People’s Choice Awards 2018

The Kardashian-Jenners - People's Choice Awards 2018

E! First Family – Khloe Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, Kim Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian – attended the 2018 People’s Choice Awards on Sunday (November 11), where they picked up the award for Reality Show of 2018.

Khloe Kardashian: While there was some cohesion between her sisters, Khloe opted to stand out in stark white Maticevski, wearing a look from the designers Resort 2019 collection. The look was very refreshing considering that she tends to stick to a body-con silhouette for 90% of the time, but the gown does feel a little bridal to me.

Kendall Jenner: The fashionista of the group opted for a Ronald Van Der Kemp Fall 2018 Haute Couture look that had a fashion-forward edge thanks to the arrangement of the pleated bodice.

Kim Kardashian: There is an illusion of nudity with this vintage Jean Paul Gaultier Maille Spring 1996 micro-mesh dress with a linear body graphic print that we’re not surprised about at all, from What Goes Around Comes Around. I’m just surprised that I don’t dislike the look, and that she didn’t opt for the jumpsuit.

Kourtney Kardashian: The oldest sister gave suiting a new spin in Vera Wang’s Spring 2019 blazer accented with sensual lace.

Serena Williams In Vera Wang – 2018 Brand Genius Awards

Serena Williams In Vera Wang - 2018 Brand Genius Awards

Serena Williams attended the 2018 Brand Genius Awards on Wednesday (November 7) in New York City with her husband Alexis Ohanian.

I have reservations about Serena in this Vera Wang Spring 2018 dress.

Before you say, “but you were dancing on the ceiling when Diane Kruger wore a similar version.” Let me explain what’s throwing me off this look.

The sheer overlay.

It just doesn’t work for Serena. It looks awkward and misplaced.

If there was any way to modify this look by removing the detail, I may have looked at this more favourably.
