Zooey Deschanel In Tommy Hilfiger – 2013 Met Gala

When up for nearly 24 hours straight, you tend to look out for those you recognize when coming to the end of blogging an epic event like the Met Gala.

This is why I missed Zooey Deschanel. The ‘New Girl’ actress was totally unrecognizable.

She didn’t wear a mohawk or sport super-thick eyebrows a la Ginnifer Goodwin (thankfully) for this punk-themed event: quite the opposite. She was the picture of elegance in her Tommy Hilfiger one-shouldered striped gown.

We are so used to the same hair and makeup from Zooey that her simple styling, lighter lip colour, and low side-swept bun sans bangs have transformed her into a totally different woman.

An Edie Parker safety-pin clutch and Forevermark jewels completed her look.

Are you as stunned by this transformation as I am?

Nicki Minaj In Tommy Hilfiger – 2013 Met Gala

Never one to shirk her rebellious, boundaries-pushing spirit, Nicki Minaj made some loud style noise at the 2013 Met Gala tonight in New York City.

The petite rapper wore a navy-blue Tommy Hilfiger gown with a train, which actually seemed too long as it puddled around her.

The dress really wasn’t all that edgy or inspired, save for the side cutouts. After all, we’ve seen her in far more extravagant and garish creations than this.

So it’s no surprise that the biggest shock factor was our hair chameleon’s grunge-punk ‘do. It completely stole my attention away from her sartorial selection.

Her teased, micro-curly locks were only rivaled in volume by Solange Knowles’ ‘fro. But I’m not sure Nicki carries off her platinum shockwave of nearly frightening, frizzed strands quite as regally.

An oxblood-red lip and a fringe of faux lashes completed the look.

Did Nicki’s look have you shouting ‘fierce’ or ‘faux-pas’?

Best Dressed Of The Week – Joseph Gordon-Levitt In Gucci, Yao Chen In Georges Hobeika Couture & Peter Facinelli In Tommy Hilfiger

Even with her elf ears, we were swept away by Yao Chen’s Georges Hobeika Couture gown.

Some of you were put off by the fact that she chose such an elaborate gown for a daytime premiere, but the rest of us – who crave princess moments on the red carpet – instantly fell in love with her periwinkle-blue strapless gown.

When it came to the guys, our picks differed.

You opted for the handsome Joseph Gordon-Levitt in Gucci, while I was floored by how handsome Peter Facinelli looked in his Tommy Hilfiger grey suit.

Peter Facinelli In Tommy Hilfiger – Tommy Hilfiger & GQ Celebrate Men Of New York

Tommy Hilfiger & GQ hosted a party at Tommy Hilfiger’s 5th Avenue flagship store to celebrate Men of New York in New York City last night.

The dashing Peter Facinelli was one of the honourees, decked out in a smart Hilfiger suit.

Peter’s tailored subtle striped grey two-button suit with peaked lapels, styled with a white dress shirt, a white pocket square and dotted tie, leaves him looking nothing short of polished perfection.

Has he always been this hot? Clearly I was paying too much attention to Kristen Stewart during the ‘Twilight’ promo tours.

Models @ The CFDA Fashion Awards 2012

The fashion world’s top models flocked to the 2012 CFDA Fashion Awards, held at the Alice Tully Hall in New York City on Monday evening.

Elettra Wiedemann: The model puts her best foot forward wearing a gorgeous burgundy Rachel Roy crepe twist drape dress with cut-out details. She accessorized with a Kotur for Rachel Roy multi-graphic tweed clutch, Lulu Frost jewelry and Rachel Roy ‘Farrah’ leather architectural open toe metal tri-colour sandals. I want to own every piece of this look. She is my favourite on this page.

Dree Hemingway: Her Creatures of The Wind black and gray silk abstract jacquard empire-waist dress teamed with a cropped jacket is also one of my faves. I love that she sticks to her laidback style here. We all know she can go glam when needs be. I just love her Tabitha Simmons for Creatures of The Wind silver boots.

Crystal Renn: I would’ve expected a gown from the striking model, but she opted for a Zac Posen cocktail dress. The Fall 2012 Kiko print lame cocktail dress was styled with black strappy sandals, bright green earrings and silver bracelets.

Renee Zellweger In Tommy Hilfiger – Tommy Hilfiger’s limited edition BHI handbag Launch

Renee Zellweger was in Milan yesterday to help launch the new Tommy Hilfiger limited edition BHI bag.

The star who’s known to only wear Carolina Herrera, stepped out of her comfort zone to wear 3 Tommy Hilfiger looks.

Renee arrived at the press conference for the new BHI bag looking chic and ready for spring wearing a red Tommy Hilfiger trench coat, which she paired with Jimmy Choo ‘Quiet’ patent peep-toes.

She revealed a periwinkle and navy Tommy Hilfiger Spring 2011 mini dress which she teamed with a navy cardigan.

It’s super short, but as we all know Renee loves to show off her toned legs.

Renee did another quick changed for the cocktail party and dinner later that evening.

She added a touch of glamour to the occasion wearing an emerald green silk taffeta strapless cocktail dress with grosgrain waistband, which is from a limited edition Tommy Hilfiger collection.

Christian Louboutin Pigalle Plato patent leather pumps completed her look.
