Celebrities at the ‘F1: The Movie’ New York Premiere
Hereās your fashion lap around the F1: The Movie red carpet in Times Square, where co-stars Brad Pitt and Damson Idris led a grid packed with celebrities, current F1 drivers, and their ever-glamorous WAGs.

Dark romance with a side of sheer drama
I donāt think āwowā quite covers the impact of Callie Cookeās McQueen gown. This was a moment. With its high neckline lending an air of quiet grandeur, velvet accents defining her silhouette, an embellished bodice doing all the talking, and sheer panels adding allureāit was an intricately layered masterpiece. Every element pulled its weight, and together they created one of the nightās standouts.
Styled by Cher Coulter.

Chic couple goals, French edition
Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc and his girlfriend Alexandra Saint Mleux looked effortlessly refined in Saint Laurent. Charlesā beige Yves tuxedo offered a refreshing alternative to the sea of black suits, and though I usually frown at black shoes with light tailoring, his footwear echoed Alexandraās silky satin tank dress so seamlessly that Iāll allow it.

When the Grid Meets the Green
Alexander Albon (Thai and British racing driver who competes for Williams) and his girlfriend, professional golfer Lily Muni, were yet another stylish couple on this red carpet. He kept things sleek in an all-black look that let her shineāand shine she did.
Lily commanded attention in a striking red Ferragamo long sleeve dress featuring a high turtleneck and a breezy tulip skirt. The vibrant red hue was made for the spotlight. Together they looked like a duo effortlessly navigating two very different worldsāhis fast-paced circuits and her fairwaysāwithout missing a step in the style department.

He didnāt dress up, but still showed up
Carlos Sainz Jr., now racing for Williams, may not have gone full red carpet glam, but his laid-back look still had charm and fresh appeal.

From alpine elegance to awkward tailoring
Pierre Gasly, Alpineās resident style risk-taker, didnāt quite stick the landing this time. While his look leaned formal, it felt too fussy for his usual contemporary aesthetic. A Streamliner Tourbillon Skeleton timepiece by H. Moser completed his look.
One dress, two red carpets
Francisca Cerqueira Gomes, Gaslyās girlfriend, was a vision in Louis Vuittonāthe same cream draped dress Phoebe Dynevor wore to The Drop premiere back in April. Itās fast becoming the go-to look for a supportive plus one, and honestly, itās easy to see why. Effortlessly graceful and camera-ready from all angles.

Pink shirt supremacy
George Russell, who drives for Mercedes, and Brad Pitt were twinning in pastel pink shirts. And while Brad looked sharp, the edge goes to George here, thanks to his perfectly paired dark mauve suit. An IWC Ingenieur Automatic 40 timepiece completed his look.

All-white everything, always
Geri Halliwell accompanied husband Christian Horner (Principal of Red Bull Racing) in what initially felt like a repeat outfit. But after a Getty deep-dive, it turns out Geriās just committed to her signature white look. Itās her red carpet uniformāclean, crisp, and consistent. The look was complete with those Saint Laurent Tribute shoes which were once a staple on the red carpet.

Keeping it classic
Javier Bardem stayed in his comfort zone, going for an all-black look. Safe? Yes. Stylish? Also yes.

Bringing the sparkle
Jurnee Smollett served full-throttle glamour in a plunging, slit-front cobalt Armani PrivƩ gown. It was bold, brilliant, and absolutely befitting of a Times Square major movie premiere. Anita Ko jewels completed her look.

Dark and romantic
Kerry Condonās Elisabetta Franchi black tulle dress came with velvet appliquĆ©s in all the right places, ensuring the dress maintained its mystery without veering into overexposure. An IWC Portofino Automatic Day & Night 34 timepiece completed her look.

Someone hand her a fan
I do wonder at what point Lindsey Vonn started to regret choosing this Vassia Kostara vegan leather moment. The biker jacket and matching leather driving gloves felt like a bold nod to the racing themeābut in June, in Times Square? That commitment deserves applause and perhaps a portable fan. Thankfully, the mini skirt allowed some respite, and airflow.

Red hot and breathable
At least Madeline Whiteās red Isa Boulder Rider maxi dress came with some built-in ventilation, thanks to the semi-sheer knit fabric that let the breeze waft through. A smart choice on a warm night.

The Future of Menswear fashion alert
Mason Thames is still promoting How to Train Your Dragon, but his support for F1: The Movie came in impeccable fashionāas we would expect. He wore a grey suit, but itās the white cropped vest I am most intrigued by and those fringed leather loafers.

Classic with a twist
Michael Rainey Jr., Ghost actor and Tommy Hilfiger family brand ambassador, showed up in a herringbone summer blue suit from the label. I wish he had picked lighter shoes, but maybe the black buttons justify it.

Asymmetric perfection
Pritika Swarup stunned in a David Koma mini dress from the Pre-Fall 2025 collection, instantly recognisable thanks to the signature asymmetric hem and silver latch detail, which gave the look a sharp industrial edge.

Sequins and sport
Olympian Suni Lee brought sparkle to the red carpet in a deep eggplant LoveShackFancy sequinned dress, trimmed with lace. It was flirty, while shining under the New York lights.

Going oversized, but not unnoticed
Yuki Tsunoda, Japanese Red Bull Racing driver, embraced the oversized tailoring trend in a chestnut brown suit that felt modern and cool. A bold move that paid off in spades.
The F1: The Movieās New York premiere proved that whether youāre a screen icon or steering wheel star, everyoneās here to make a statement. Who was your favourite?
