Louise Roe In Monique Lhuillier - 2014 Golden Globe Awards

Louise Roe gave use a double dose of Monique Lhuillier Spring gowns for the 2014 Golden Globe Awards, which took place on Sunday (January 12) at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in California.

Golden Globe Awards: For the main event the TV presenter wore a pretty coral-hued long-sleeved crepe-and-Chantilly-lace Spring 2014 gown styled with side-swept wavy tresses and bedazzling accessories, including a Marchesa clutch, Chopard jewels and Jimmy Choo sandals.

Golden Globe After-Parties: Later that same evening Louise swapped one stunning Monique Lhuillier look for another, this time selecting a striking multi-coloured strapless Spring 2013 gown, keeping the same hairstyle but changing her diamond jewels for gold.

Of the two, the after-party gown is the grandstand gown and would’ve worked better for me for the main event. Do you agree?

Nikki Reed in Monique Lhuillier - InStyle and Warner Brothers Golden Globes Awards Party 2

‘Twilight’ star Nikki Reed continued the trend for colour as she attended the InStyle and Warner Brothers Golden Globes Awards post-party held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday (January 12).

Wearing a turquoise lace Monique Lhuillier Resort 2013 dress with sexy front split and fishtail train, Nikki made this bold and risky colour look easy to wear, and prove she can do high-end glamour as well as her other wardrobe hits.

Slick hair and make-up and on-trend metallic accessories were the finish touch.

It think it’s a colourful and fun look with lashings of glamour and sophistication, and altogether a strong look for Nikki .

You may remember that Beth Behrs wore this same gown in pink.

Drew Barrymore was a breath of fresh air at the 2014 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday (January 12) in Beverly Hills, California.

The actress-turned-beauty mogul knows a thing or two about the use of colour, and she proved so by wearing a red, pink and white confection of a gown from Monique Lhuillier Spring 2014.

It must be hard to choose a red carpet look when pregnant, but Drew glowed at the award ceremony, looking airy and colourful in the delicate gown with floral appliques, touches of sheer white fabric, and a loosely ruffled train.

Drew took advantage of the slightly shortened hemline to show off crimson Roger Vivier Epine Pumps, which she paired with an Edie Parker clutch and Chanel Fine Jewelry including two dazzling cocktail rings.

A beauty look of shiny straight locks and a red lip to match her floral dress completed one of my favourite looks of the night.

Ali Larter In Monique Lhuillier - Art of Elysium Heaven Gala

Ali Larter was another actresses who attended the Art of Elysium ‘Heaven’ Gala held at Skirball Cultural Center on Saturday (January 11) in Los Angeles, California.

The actress and cookbook author wore a vibrantly hued strapless Monique Lhuillier gown with a dramatic fishtail train.

Matching green earrings and a basic black clutch accessorized the look.

Smokey brown eyes, subtle rosy lips and messy beachy waves all look lovely on the actress, but there seems to be a bit of a disconnect between the top of the look and the bottom.

Perhaps a chic updo or even a cat eye would have somehow made this look seem a bit more cohesive.

Ashley Madekwe In Monique Lhuillier - Art of Elysium Heaven Gala

Ashley Madekwe attended the Art of Elysium ‘Heaven’ Gala held at Skirball Cultural Center on Saturday (January 11) in Los Angeles, California alongside Camilla Belle, Jennifer Morrison and Kate Bosworth.

Looking as stunning as ever, the actress wore a Monique Lhuillier Resort 2014 black-and-white abstract-print strapless gown, keeping the styling simple with a grey clutch and dazzling earrings.

Considering its dramatic nature I love how effortless this look is.

Xu Qing wearing a Zuhair Murad Couture ballgown was your best dressed this week.

I opted for Juliette Lewis in Monique Lhuillier. I love the colour of the gown, the voluminous skirt, plus the decorative styling which included a vintage bejewelled headband.

The look was bold without being brash and fun without being comical.

As for the fellas, James Marsden in Dolce & Gabbana was the clear winner. On trend in blue, he mixed things up wearing a dual-colour navy-and-grey suit, looking incredibly dapper and handsome in the process.

Juliette Lewis In Monique Lhuillier - 'August Osage County' LA Premiere

Juliette Lewis was back on the red carpet on Monday evening (December 16) for the LA premiere of her latest movie, ‘August: Osage County’, held at Regal Cinemas L.A. Live in California.

The actress continued not only to look good but to have fun with it, wearing this darling Monique Lhuillier Resort 2014 lavender asymmetrical organza gown with layers of black tulle to give the skirt a sculptural flourish, draping around with much finesse before fanning out into a graceful train.

A bejewelled vintage headband added to the playfulness of the look, with Brian Atwood black sandals, a black satin oval clutch with silver metallic foliage overlay by Rodo and Neil Lane jewels providing the finishing touches.

Does this playful look work for you or did the headband take it into twee territory?
