End of The Week Red Carpet Roundup

With Cannes in full swing, there were many more looks that took to the red carpet this past week outside of the film festival fashion scene.

Kerry Washington: I was so delighted with Kerry’s recent vibrant ensembles that this Monse Fall 2017 dress left me underwhelmed at the ‘Scandal’ Watch Party presented by The Paley Center for Media. Yet, it was still a chic showing from the actress.

Eleanor Tomlinson: A dainty Altuzarra Spring 2017 embroidered chiffon top provided a delicate counterpoint for black trousers and a black leather tie belt. Metallic ‘Parker’ sandals completed the casual-elegant look at ‘The Talk Of The Townhouse’ hosted by Jo Malone London.

Dakota Fanning: Sassy hot-pink won the prize in this youthfully fun Proenza Schouler ikat-inspired crepe wrap dress from the Pre-Fall 2017 collection, which Dakota strutted out at the 2017 Turner Upfront.

Kerry Washington In Peter Pilotto, Delpozo & Michael Kors Collection – GMA, Live With Kelly & The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon

Kerry Washington has been making the rounds in New York City, as well, with three appearances over Wednesday (May 17) and Thursday (May 18).

Good Morning America: Her scarf-inspired Peter Pilotto Fall 2017 printed top and skirt left no colour un-turned for a beautifully vibrant outing that was plenty playful, as well. Alexander Birman blue heels reflected the palette of the ensemble with Jennifer Fisher jewels topping off the look.

Live with Kelly & Ryan: Making her Delpozo Fall 2017 colour-block dress more wearable for summer, she nixed the long-sleeve piece underneath and added a wild touch with animal-print Christian Louboutin pumps.

The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon: Seeing the world through rose-coloured glasses is easy with this chic, ladylike Michael Kors Collection peplum design emboldened with those dramatic red blooms.

‘Paint it Black’ New York Premiere

A trio of starlets were in attendance at the premiere of ‘Paint It Black’ in New York City on Monday (May 15).

Blake Lively: I always look forward to seeing Blake on the red carpet, as I’m generally in adoration of her chic style. With this Michael Kors Fall 2017 ensemble, however, I was only half-sold. The white tank underneath the embellished sheer top threw me for a loop, as it took away some of the shimmery radiance.

Alexis Bledel: Alexis delighted us the last time out in her medley of vibrant hues, and she stayed true to that spirit in this Saloni Spring 2017 vivid-print frock. The colours are so striking, but I do think she could have had more fun with her shoe choice with a sandal in the same palette.

Amber Tamblyn: Like Blake, Amber also opted to paint it black in her suited-up ensemble. The creamy, lace blouse brought a flourish of femininity to the look. But her lace-up brogues certainly played more into the menswear-inspired influences. With her tapered-leg trousers, I would have preferred a more delicate sandal or stiletto, though. What about you?

Goldie Hawn & Kate Hudson In Michael Kors Collection – ‘Snatched’ LA Premiere

After the Hollywood Walk of Fame unveiling last week, Goldie Hawn and Kate Hudson were back on the red carpet together for the ‘Snatched’ LA premiere on Wednesday (May 10).

Goldie Hawn: Her custom Michael Kors Collection cold-shoulder gown shimmered beautifully with its sequined spin on abstracted animal print for a sophisticated approach tha fit her like a glove.

Kate Hudson: Also in a custom Michael Kors Collection look, Kate opted to bring in the sequins via embellished, flared pants tempered by a flowy black blouse with fringe ties. An Edie Parker clutch and a bit of shiny metallic eye makeup finished the look.

I love how these two looks were unified by their embellishment yet stood alone in their unique representations of both Goldie and Kate’s style personality.

2017 Met Gala After-Party

Katy Perry hosted the Met Gala after party at The Boom Boom at The Standard in New York City in the early hours of Tuesday morning (May 2).

Elle Fanning: The young actress donned her second Miu Miu look of the night. I love how the looks starts out minimal in hue and cut before gathering in pace below the waist with an explosion of multi-colour feathers and embellished Christian Louboutin ‘Body Strass’ pumps. I’m imagining this would’ve looked amazing as a gown for the main event.

Kate Bosworth: Since the majority of you disliked Kate’s Tory Burch red carpet look, I won’t be surprised if you wished she’d worn her Emilio Pucci Spring 2017 boldly hued frock to the main event. It certainly would’ve had a greater impact.

Katy Perry: It was Katy Perry’s party and she will dress as ridiculously as she wants too. My only surprise is that she didn’t wear Ulyana Sergeenko Fall 2016 Couture look with the runway helmet.
