Mindy Kaling In Marc Jacobs – Guy Oseary’s July 4th Event

Mindy Kaling In Marc Jacobs - Guy Oseary's July 4th Event

Mindy Kaling attended Guy Oseary’s July 4th event at Nobu Malibu in California last Thursday.

The actress has come a long way in the style stakes. I’m not sure if it’s the result of a new stylist or taking a greater interest in fashion, as she’s making much better choices lately.

On this occasion she wore a Marc Jacobs Resort 2013 blue-white-and-orange degrade floral silk shirt dress with a pleated skirt, which she accented with a thin gold waistband, adding a tan grommet shoulder bucket bag and on-trend white pumps to her look.

I love the summery colours and effortless styling.

Do you see an improvement in Mindy’s style, or are you still not taken with her red carpet looks?

Sarah Jessica Parker In Marc Jacobs – Charlie And The Chocolate Factory Press Night

Sarah Jessica Parker In Marc Jacobs - Charlie And The Chocolate Factory Press Night

It was very much a family affair on the red carpet for the ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’ press night held at the Theatre Royal in London this evening, as Sarah Jessica Parker, Mathew Broderick and James Wilkie Broderick were in attendance.

Sarah sparkled wearing a Marc Jacobs Resort 2014 black-and-gold sequin long-sleeved 60s-style scoop-neck dress styled with simple black pumps and a multi-coloured patchwork Fendi baguette.

I’m surprised to find myself irked by the baguette and not the black pumps – mostly because I would’ve preferred a clutch – however, I should be thankful it wasn’t a cross-body bag.

Matthew looked very smart in a dark suit, pink shirt and striped tie, while young James Wilkie looked really dapper in his summery white suit styled with a gingham shirt and striped tie. He clearly gets this fashion flair from his mother.

Kerry Washington In Marc Jacobs – Jimmy Choo & Esquire Party

Kerry Washington In Marc Jacobs - Jimmy Choo & Esquire Party

Kerry Washington joined Thandie Newton and a host of handsome guys who attended the Jimmy Choo & Esquire party held at Loulou’s in London on Sunday evening.

The actress, who is in town to promote season two of ‘Scandal’, which will air on More4 in July, wore a Marc Jacobs dual-colour white-and-burgundy column frock with crystal embellishments decorating the hemline and shoulder straps.

To complement the sparkling details, she styled her look with Jimmy Choo ‘Award’ nude pumps with a crystallized toe-cap and a gold Jimmy Choo ‘Charlize’ clutch.

Having worked a multitude of looks this summer, including bangs, the actress’s hair was styled into a chic faux bob on this occasion.

Myspace Event

MySpace Event 1

Myspace held an event at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles, California yesterday evening, inviting many celebs to their fun-filled soirée. I didn’t know people still used MySpace.

Miley Cyrus: Let’s start with those pants. At first I thought they were from the Rihanna for River Island collection, but having gone through the collection I found that nothing was as bad as this part-sweatpants part-jeans combo creation which were created by Ashish for his Spring 2013 collection. Isn’t this like trying to mix oil with vinegar? The rest of her look isn’t as bad, by her standards. She wore an Alexander Wang leather bralette with a plasticy bomber jacket, accessorizing with on-trend white pumps, a Chanel bag, and a selection of jewels. Liam sure is a lucky boy.

Dianna Agron: Returning to her blonde ‘do after a brief flirtation with red, the ‘Glee’ actress, unlike some, decided to make an effort and dress up for this occasion. The actress wore a Marc Jacobs look, featuring a ruffle-collared sleeveless white silk blouse styled with a floral-and-butterfly print pleated skirt from the Resort 2013 collection, which she also topped off with on-trend white pumps and a bold lip colour. A blue patent ladylike clutch completed her look.

Olivia Wilde: The actress does pretty very well and often, so I’m loving this refreshing laidback look. I would gladly rock each piece, from the J Brand ‘Abiah’ leather jacket to the blue tee, paint-splattered Parker jeans and red t-bar Brian Atwood sandals. This is how to do, ‘with an edge’ without looking ridiculous.

Nicole Richie In Marc Jacobs – 2013 CFDA Fashion Awards

Nicole Richie In Marc Jacobs - 2013 CFDA Fashion Awards

Nicole Richie looked divine at the 2013 CFDA Fashion Awards held at the Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center in New York City on Monday evening.

The ‘Fashion Star’ judge selected a metallic bronze Marc Jacobs Fall 2013 spaghetti strap slip-dress.

Her sexy backless dress, which has 90s vibe to it, was styled with a cream Louboutin clutch, Jennifer Meyer jewels and Giuseppe Zanotti heels.

On some this dress may have just been passed off a shiny frock, but Nicole is rocking the hell out of it, making it work for her.

Her styling including a matte red lip colour, bronzed eyes and brunette updo also help sell this look to me.

Sofia Coppola in Marc Jacobs – 2013 Met Gala

SofiaCoppolaMarcJacobs

‘PUNK: Chaos to Couture,’ the theme to Monday’s Met Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York is all about paying homage to a time when people went against the establishment.

Sofia Coppola did just that when she graced the red carpet in a pajama-inspired design from Marc Jacobs Fall 2013. A decidedly non-punk look, Sofia took the anti-establishment theme to heart by opting out of the theme completely.

I do love Sofia’s look–the cut is simple, the style is flattering, and the silvery-grey colour is beautiful–but I wish she had gone just a little bit punk.

Sofia rounded out her laid back look with delicate heels, a black clutch, and barely there makeup.

I personally would have paired this red carpet look with a very dark berry lip colour for a flash of punky glamour. Do you agree?
