Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Alicia Keys made a guest appearance on Late Night With David Letterman on Tuesday night where she talked to the host about her family and Christmas.

The singer then went on to set the Ed Sullivan Theater stage ‘On Fire’ with a soul-baring performance of her hit song on Tuesday night which brought the 2012 season of ‘Live On Letterman’ to a conclusion.

She opened the show with ‘New Day’, before going on to perform a reggae mash-up of her new track ‘Limitedless’, ‘You Don’t Know My Name’, her current track ‘ Girl On Fire’ and the epic ‘Empire State of Mind’, much to the crowd’s delight.

Alicia’s voice wasn’t the only thing to stand out.

The singer was dressed in a bright-yellow Marc Jacobs Resort 2013 ensemble with blue sequin stripes on both the crew-neck sweater and knit pencil skirt.

Vanity Fair’s best-dressed woman of the year followed the number one rule of wearing a crop top by wearing a high-waisted skirt to cover her stomach.

The look was completed with gold pointy pumps.

Following her book signing last week, Kate Moss joined Florence Welch and many other celebs at a party hosted by Marc Jacobs at 50 St. James in London to celebrate the launch of ‘Kate: The Kate Moss Book’ by Rizzoli New York.

The model is known to write her own rules style-wise, so I wasn’t surprised to discover that she’d worn this Marc Jacobs Fall 2010 gold lamé gown backwards.

The question is, did Kate intend to do an Angelina, or was she simply confused as to what was the front and what was the back of this gown?

It would be an easy mistake to make considering the gown has a v-front and v-back.

Tousled tresses, smoky eyes, a black shoulder bag and gold jewels completed her look.

Florence Welch of ‘Florence and the Machine’ attended the party hosted by Marc Jacobs to celebrate the launch of ‘Kate: The Kate Moss Book’ by Rizzoli New York at 50 St. James in London last night.

The singer, famed for her love of floaty kaftans, wore a Marc Jacobs Spring 2013 fitted dress.

Her nude and white optic-panelled silk jersey long-sleeved maxi dress features a circular cut-out with self-tie detail at the back.

Keeping the styling simple, Florence sported a neat bun and copper manicure and she added a nude YSL patent clutch to complete her minimalist look.

Kate Moss was spotted headed to sign copies of her book ‘Kate: The Kate Moss Book’ at Bookmarc, the Marc Jacobs bookstore on South Audley Street in London yesterday afternoon.

She wore a Marc Jacobs Spring 2013 dress.

Her silk jersey leopard-print dress, featuring a straight neck, three-quarter sleeves and a slit at the side hem, is one of the few non-striped pieces from the collection.

The model styled her look with simple black pumps and a YSL silver metallic leather ‘Chyc’clutch.

I’m pleasantly surprised at how well-groomed the model looks.

There were so many more celebs who attended Elle’s Women In Hollywood Celebration in LA last night. Here is a quick look at what they wore.

Uma Thurman: The actress wore a head-to-toe Calvin Klein Spring 2013 all-black look with slicked-back hair and David Yurman jewels.

Kiernan Shipka: The adorable teen actress wore a Moschino ivory-and-black dress with a pleated striped skirt, black collar and peplum detail. An Olympia Le-Tan book clutch and black Jimmy Choo ‘Mara’ kitten heels accessorized her look.

Jayma Mays: The ‘Glee’ actress brightened up the red carpet wearing an electric-blue Alexandra Vidal peplum dress with tri-colour Brian Atwood sandals with matching Rebecca Minkoff lizard embossed ‘Fling’ minaudiere and David Yurman jewels.

Naya Rivera: The ‘Glee’ actress is one of those hit-and-miss stars, but she scored a hit wearing this lovely pale yellow Moschino dress. The sleeveless fitted dress with a tulip-shaped skirt was styled with burgundy Tory Burch peep-toes and a matching Jimmy Choo clutch. Tumbling curls, diamond earrings and a pink lip shade finished Naya’s look.

Helena Bonham Carter and director Tim Burton attended the premiere of ‘Frankenweenie 3D’ which opened the 56th BFI London Film Festival at the Odeon Leicester Square in London yesterday evening.
The actress wore a familiar Marc Jacobs Resort 2011 dress.

This is the second outing for this black-and-white floral lace dress, because Helena wore it to the 2011 SAG Awards, but on this occasion she styled it with a black silk bolero.

There was a time when this sort of thing would’ve been frowned upon, but the Duchess has made reruns perfectly acceptable.

Helena’s signature curls were piled on top of her head, with kohl-rimmed eyes, light pink lips and pearl drop earrings completing her look.
