Gwyneth Paltrow In Marc Jacobs – amfAR Hong Kong Gala

Gwyneth Paltrow In Marc Jacobs - amfAR Hong Kong Gala

Gwyneth Paltrow attended the 2015 amfAR Hong Kong Gala held at Shaw Studios on Saturday (March 14) in Hong Kong.

The actress wore a Marc Jacobs Spring 2015 navy gown with cut-outs and a satin trim at the waist creating a more contoured look.

Upon looking at this dress, my eyes were immediately drawn to the gorgeously intricate Cabochon detailing and of course the set of Harry Winston jewels.

Despite how elegant and bold the dress is, the hair and makeup fell really flat. I want to get excited about the look, but the styling stalls any emotion.

Models @ 2015 Elle Style Awards

Models @ 2015 Elle Style Awards

You were very much underwhelmed by the models at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party, so let’s see how those supers fared at the 2015 Elle Style Awards on Tuesday (February 24) in London, England.

Cara Delevingne: Known for her preference for suits on the red carpet, the model channelled her inner Dita Von Teese on this occasion, wearing a sultry long-sleeve black gown by Vivienne Westwood. Going the distance, she styled the look with a diamond Messika necklace, screen-siren waves and a plump red lip.

Isabeli Fontana: I was blown away by the Brazilian model in her Ralph & Russo Spring 2015 Couture gown, having seen it sweep down the runway just a month ago. I love the airiness, the seductive sheer elements and of course the pretty floral appliqués. Factor in the bold violet lip and braided hairdo, and this was one of my favourites on the night.

Vanity Fair Celebrates Young Hollywood Red Carpet Roundup

Vanity Fair Celebrates Young Hollywood Red Carpet Roundup

Here is a roundup of some of the other celebs who attended the Vanity Fair celebration of Young Hollywood held at No Vacancy on Tuesday (February 17) in Los Angeles, California.

Courtney Eaton: The young actress, dressed in head-to-toe Louis Vuitton Resort 2015, was one of the few to pique my interest at this event. Contemporary and colourful in design, this look wasn’t as predictable as the others.

Emily Ratajkowski: Speaking of predictable, the ‘Gone Girl’ actress served up a gorgeous eggplant Cushine et Ochs Pre-Fall 2015 jumpsuit, which of course featured cut-outs, styled with a Lee Savage ‘180 Stack’ clutch and silver Brian Atwood ‘Melly’ pumps.

Sarah Hyland: The ‘Modern Family’ star decided to take a more prim approach, which for me isn’t a great representation of her usual style, but I don’t hate the Dsquared² look. I perhaps like her accessories, which included Nicholas Kirkwood pumps and a Charlotte Olympia clutch, more than her dress though.

2015 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue Celebration

2015 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue Celebration

Models were out in full force for the 2015 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue celebration held at Marquee on Tuesday (February 10) in New York City.

Lily Aldridge: The model, who I usually consider one of the best dressed of her peers, failed to impress in her Marc Jacobs Spring 2015 tri-colour hipsack mini dress, so I am thankful for her choice of Tabitha Simmons shoes to distract my attention. There isn’t one thing I like about this dress. If Lily can’t pull it off, no one can.

Gigi Hadid: The blonde beauty wore a that’s-more-like-it David Koma Spring 2015 look. She totally nailed her look for its sporty, sexy, fun, vibrant and colourful appeal, evoking everything about a Sports Illustrated swimsuit model.

Chanel Iman: One has to wonder if the model wandered into the wrong event. As beautiful as her Temperley London Spring 2015 emerald gown is, it feels so wrong and out of place at this event.

Claire Danes In Marc Jacobs – 2015 SAG Awards

ClaireDanesInMarcJacobs2015SAGAwards

Claire Danes graced the red carpet at Sunday’s (January 25) 2015 Screen Actors Guild Awards, hosted at the L.A. Shrine Auditorium.

The ‘Homeland’ nominee wore a khaki green gown by Marc Jacobs Spring 2015. I’m a big lover of the cool and contemporary colour.

The gown had several beautifully crafted details, but one too many for my eye. The twisted halter, the keyhole cutout, the waist-cinching belt, and the graphic beading down the entire side of the gown. Each design element so lovely, but too much all together.

Claire amped up the glamour of a potentially causal colour with warm gold earrings and bangles, which was smart. I also love that she matched her eyeline colour to the dress–a dark green for extra edge.

Does this gown have too many details to look at? Or, are you loving the look?
