Cate Blanchett In Loewe – ‘The House With A Clock In Its Walls’ CinemaCon Presentation

Cate Blanchett was still at CinemaCon 2018, this time promoting ‘The House With A Clock In Its Walls’ on Wednesday (April 25) in Las Vegas, Nevada.

There was a mixed reaction to her Gucci opening, and I feel her Loewe Fall 2018 check shirt dress will get the same “I’m not feeling it” vibe.

She can’t do high-glam all the time, and this is CinemaCon, so I don’t begrudge this relaxed offering.

I love what she did with the leather straps, using them as a tie, but I felt the pumps were too formal for this dress. The runway ankle boots would’ve worked for me.

Are you feeling this western-inspired look, or was this western focus too fancy dress for you?

Danai Gurira In Gabriela Hearst, Cushnie et Ochs & Loewe – Pre-Oscars Events

Danai Gurira lead up to Oscar weekend, saw her taking in three events following the success of her hit new film, ‘Black Panther’.

9th Annual Oscar’s Sistahs Soiree: Her first look came courtesy of Gabriela Hearst’s Spring 2018 collection. It was a smart two-piece look which was seemingly perfect for the event, however, it felt way too muted for Danai for my liking.

2018 Essence Black Women In Hollywood Oscars Luncheon: In fresh white with tactile black detailing, this sleeveless dress from Loewe’s Spring 2018 was elevated with the Gabriela Hearst ‘Charles’ block heels in a true Wakanda fashion.

Vanity Fair and Lancome Paris Toast Women in Hollywood: Things took a turn for the better in this Cushnie et Ochs Pre-Fall 2018 vibrant yellow look. I will always associate Danai with bold, beautiful hues. This fitted dress was positively radiant. Gold Giuseppe Zanotti ‘Ellie’ sandals completed her look.

Sylvia Hoeks In Pallas Paris & Loewe – ‘Blade Runner 2049’ Tokyo Press Conference & Premiere

Sylvia Hoeks joined Ana de Armas for the ‘Blade Runner 2049’ Tokyo press conference on Monday (October 23) and the premiere on Tuesday (October 24).

Press Conference: While some may have opted to wear this Pallas Paris white suit sans shirting underneath for the plunge necklne, Sylvia added a gunmetal-silver edge via the mock-neck top with Nicholas Kirkwood sandals to match.

Premiere: This Loewe Fall 2017 gown had a certain romantic-galactic glamour in its metallic plisse fan top coupled with the loose drape of the skirt. Her long waves softened the effect even more, but were you wishing for a different, edgier hairstyle this time around?

Harper’s Bazaar Summer Party (Fiesta 150 Aniversario de Harper’s Bazaar)

A whole host of fashionable and famous figures descended on Harper’s Bazaar 150th anniversary party at Casa de Velazquez on Wednesday (June 28) in Madrid, Spain.

Raquel Sánchez-Silva: The journalist showcased the cyclical nature of style as she donned a Gucci Spring 2017 gown previously worn by Cate Blanchett back in October. It’s easy to see why the ladies wanted to wear this gown; the gorgeous ruffled shoulders bring to mind petals whilst the red bow belt adds yet more intrigue. I love Raquel’s sleek up-do which allows the look to shine to full effect. However, her choice of clutch cheapens the look.

Paz Vega: Looking incredibly polished and chic, the actress opted for a midnight-blue Dsquared gown featuring an open back dress which gave this ensemble a sophisticated yet seductive vibe.

Sylvia Hoeks In Loewe – ‘Blade Runner 2049’ Barcelona Photocall

Sylvia Hoeks attended the ‘Blade Runner 2049’ photocall in Barcelona on Monday (June 19).

I was immediately fascinated by her Loewe Spring 2017 look that combined the seductiveness of corsetry styling with the sway of a more homespun peasant skirt.

The end result delivered an intriguing edge of feminine allure, especially when styled with her high sandals, statement earrings, and waterfall blonde waves.

Experimental elegance at its finest. Would you agree?

45th Life Achievement Award Gala Tribute to Diane Keaton

The American Film Institute’s 45th Life Achievement Award Gala Tribute to Diane Keaton took place on Thursday (June 8). Various stars (including Rachel McAdams) took to the red carpet in Hollywood, California to celebrate the veteran actress.

Emma Stone: The ‘La La Land’ actress kept us guessing with this quirky dress from Loewe’s Fall 2017 collction. Whilst my head tells me that colour-blocking, check print, and polka dots do not belong in one look, my heart is won over. The placement of the colours works particularly well, with the check print cinching in Emma’s waist. I love the pleated skirt and Stella Luna ‘Carioca’ sandal combo too. The red-brown colour palette ties everything together into one cohesive look.

Reese Witherspoon: The exaggerated cuffs and collar on this Miu Miu dress bring some definition to what is otherwise quite an ordinary design. Reese keeps it fun and flirty with the length of this dress and her relaxed hairstyle. Overall the look is classic and chic. Irene Neuwirth jewels completed her look.

Diane Keaton: Honouree and woman of the hour, Diane Keaton, made sure all eyes were on her with a bizarre ensemble. A wide-brimmed dark hat and oversized dress coat combo dominated this look. A chunky buckled belt seemed to struggle to contain the swathes of fabric whilst Doc Marten style boots further confused the look. But hey, it was her night, and she owned her eclectic style. Top marks for originality?
