Red Carpet Fashion Awards

The 2012 Creative Arts Emmy Awards took place at the Nokia Theatre LA Live on Saturday evening.

Christina Hendricks opted to wear a Jenny Packham Fall 2012 gown.

I went back and forth as to whether I liked this gown and I concluded that I love the silhouette. Whoever is dressing Christina now, finally knows how to dress her body type.

What bothers me is the print. I find it far too busy especially with the addition of the overwhelming shoulder detail.

Could’ve been great, but sadly it’s a no for me.

The Duchess of Cambridge visited the Kranji Commonwealth War Cemetery in Singapore on Wednesday.

For the second time during the Royal nine-day Asian Jubilee tour, Kate chose a dress by Jenny Packham.

One again – as expected – the dress was event appropriate, if not a little on the dull side. Kate appears to have taken a leaf out of the Queen’s style book, opting for demure pastels and lace.

Her signature hair, makeup and those LK Bennett nude pumps finished her look.

Even prior to the royal seal of approval from Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, Jenny Packham has always been the go-to designer for glamorous gowns.

Her Spring 2013 collection on a colour palette of mostly dove grey, yellow and orange was her most bedazzling yet.

Inspired by the Las Vegas high rollers, Hollywood actors and free-spending gamblers of the 60s the designer focused on every type of embellishment from crystals to sequins and oversized paillettes.

They adorned mini dresses, maxi dresses and the red-carpet-ready glamorous gowns.

It wasn’t all about the bling. A few looks (five out of forty two) took to the runway sans embellishments.

I love the ink-splash dresses and the simple draped dresses which I can see snapped up by the Duchess.

PVC clutches also got the bedazzled treatment with shimmery Christian Louboutin heels, statement earrings and jewelled necklaces accessorizing the looks.

The Duchess of Cambridge went for understated florals on an official visit to the Singapore Botanic Gardens earlier today.

For the first day of the Duke and Duchess’ nine-day Asian tour, she opted for a bespoke Jenny Packham silk twill De Gournay dress featuring hand-painted orchids.

Although this might not be my favourite look on the Duchess, I understand why she chose it. Singapore is famous for its orchids and Kate was at the gardens to see an exotic flower dedicated to Princes Diana.

The kimono-inspired bodice is also a nod to the Duke and Duchesses Jubilee tour plans.

Kate finished her look with pearl earring and nude L.K. Bennett pumps.

Kristen Bell arrived on the red carpet at the Regal Cinemas L.A. Live yesterday evening in a Class One Tatum buggy for the ‘Hit and Run’ premiere with her fiancé Dax Shepard, who wrote, directed and stars in the movie.

The beautiful actress looked very chic wearing a Jenny Packham Fall 2012 jumpsuit.

The actress looks surprisingly statuesque in her black jumpsuit with a satin bodice and wide leg pants.

Which is ironic considering she has been quoted as saying, “5’1 is the new 6’2”.

We’re used to seeing Kristen in girlie dresses in light pastel hues, so how does this sleek black look, which she styled with barely there makeup and Graziela ‘Detach and Go Solo’ earrings, work for you?

Nina Dobrev’s final look this weekend was at Entertainment Weekly’s 6th Annual Comic-Con Celebration on Saturday in San Diego, California.

Opting to show off her legs once again she wore a Jenny Packham mini dress.

Her tangerine 3/4-sleeve shift dress with black deco beading was styled with Jimmy Choo ‘Gio’ leather and suede ankle boots.

Keeping her accessories light to allow the dress to be the focus, she added a black Jimmy Choo ‘Tube’ clutch.

I love the edgy boots with this dress, which add a youthful touch to this look, but I would’ve loved her to have worn her hair up on this occasion.

Of Nina’s three looks, which was your favourite?

Mine was her Katherine Kidd look.

You can buy Nina’s Jimmy Choo ankle boots from Saks.com.
