Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge In Chanel, Jenny Packman, and Alexander McQueen – In Paris

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge was in Paris for a two-day stay over the weekend, arriving in the City of Light on Friday (March 17).

Look 1: This colourful tweed Chanel pleated dress was a chic way to make the rounds in Paris, with the bell sleeves and box pleats adding ladylike poise.

Look 2: Catherine opted to wear a longtime favoured designer of choice, Jenny Packham, for an embassy gala dinner. Although it may have appeared to be baby blue, the gown was actually a striking icy-silver hue. It featured a familiar silhouette, but the special flourish came in the dimensional floral embellishment for an enchanting finish.

Look 3: For a welcome reception at the British embassy on Friday, she wore a black Alexander McQueen textural dress in a fresh, ankle-grazing length with its modern elegance only heightened by her statement necklace.

Mandy Moore In Jenny Packham – 19th Costume Designers Guild Awards

Mandy Moore didn’t get the black memo for the 19th CDGA (Costume Designers Guild Awards) on Tuesday (February 21) in Beverly Hills, California, which was observed by Jane Fonda and Jess Weixler.

The actress wore a Jenny Packham Spring 2017 gown which was stunning on the runway, but lost all its allure on the red carpet.

Why?

Well, it’s a case of the dreaded lining again.

While I commend Mandy for not hopping on the “sheer dress – look at my panties” trend, the look would’ve been served better had the lining run the length of the gown.

Hillary Scott In Jenny Packham – 2017 Grammy Awards

Hillary Scott shone brightly at the 2017 Grammy Awards on Sunday (February 12) in LA.

Sequins were out in full force, and her sparkling Jenny Packham Fall 2016 column gown joined the crowd.

While some stars would have worn these embellished stars as presented on the runway, Hillary opted for a more modest approach by lining the dress which translated perfectly well if less provocatively.

The ensemble likely won’t be as memorable as some other looks of the night, but it still created its own pretty galaxy especially with her romantic, flowing waves.

Viola Davis In Jenny Packham – 2017 BAFTAs

Viola Davis bought her take on colour blocking to the 2017 BAFTAs on Sunday (February 12) in London, England.

The ‘Fences’ star, who is nominated as Best Supporting Actress for the film, looked stunning in this custom Jenny Packham gown. The multi-toned blue stripes clash perfectly, with each other and the red carpet, and the chevrons at the waist really help to accentuate Viola’s curves.

The actress favours this strapless shape – it works well for her – and whereas usually we see her in one block colour, these stripes are a welcome change.

A chic Tyler Ellis clutch and Bvlgari jewels finish off Viola’s look perfectly.
