2015 Emmy Awards Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Emmy Men

Lest you think we had left out the dapper gents at the 2015 Emmy Awards, here is a roundup of the menswear moments that took to the red carpet at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles, California on Sunday night (September 20).

Alan Cumming: ‘The Good Wife’ actor and nominee was clearly moonlighting as a clown—albeit a very elegantly dressed one—in this Vivienne Westwood MAN Spring 2016 gray three-piece suit combination. The supersized pants were rather comical but it’s the Crocs shoes and umbrella prop that really magnified this sartorial stunt.

Hugh Dancy
: Standing alongside wife Claire Danes, Hugh was handsomely attired in Ralph Lauren Black Label black suit that was a classically formal and very fine offering.

Cara Delevingne In Burberry – ‘Pan’ World Premiere

Cara Delevingne In Burberry - 'Pan' World Premiere

Taking a pause from Fashion Week, Cara Delevingne attended the world premiere of ‘Pan’ at Odeon Leicester Square on Sunday (September 20) in London, England.

Cara wore a feather-like black Burberry mini dress complete with edgy mesh inserts which she styled with caged heels.

Looking slick and stylish with a high ponytail and dark smoky eyes, it appears that the model-turned-actress is continuing her good form from her ‘Paper Towns’ promo tour.

Alice Eve In Burberry Prorsum – ‘Ricki And The Flash’ New York Premiere

Alice Eve In Burberry Prorsum - ‘Ricki And The Flash’ New York Premiere

Alice Eve was spotted leaving her hotel en route to at the AMC Lincoln Square Theater on Monday (August 3) in New York City, to join Mamie Gummer and Meryl Streep on the red carpet for the New York premiere of ‘Ricki And The Flash’.

The British actress wore a Burberry Prorsum Fall 2015 lightly quilted sweet shift dress boasting a bohemian mix of floral prints in tropical green and blue hues.

I very much expected to dislike the mod twist courtesy of the fringed runway booties, but I love how the amp up Alice’s signature prim style.

Cara Delevingne In Saint Laurent & Burberry Prorsum - 'Paper Towns' London Photocall & BBC Radio Studios

Cara Delevingne returned to London, England for the next stage of her promo tour for ‘Paper Towns’, with a photocall at Claridges Hotel on Thursday (June 18) in London, England before continuing her promotional efforts at BBC Radio studios.

Photocall: I knew this promo tour wouldn’t be complete without a Saint Laurent look from Cara. The blazer gives a not-so subtle nod to the military trend with its engraved gold-tone buttons and defined shoulders. The menswear-style blazer was perfectly balanced with a star print blouse and skinny jeans.

BBC Radio One: Cara countered her nod to menswear with a supremely feminine Burberry Prorsum colourful lace dress. Putting her own stamp on the look, Cara styled her dress with a selection of gold necklaces, Sophia Webster ‘ Alexa Wagner’ cut-out ankle boots and Sunday Somewhere ‘Valentine’ shades.

There is no denying that Cara has managed to keep her looks varied and interesting while still staying perfectly in tune with her style during this promo tour. She has been a delight to watch.

Final Sweep Of The 2015 Met Gala Red Carpet

met gala 2015

As you know when it comes to the Met Gala, I always – as impossible as the task is – try to feature everyone, so here is the final sweep from Monday’s (May 4) event.

As this is very last post, leave your top 10 in the comments.

Livia Firth: Ladies and gentlemen, this is how you pay homage to the Chinese theme. Livia’s Antonio Berardi for the Green Carpet Challenge gown was elegant, refined, and so refreshing on a night were the self-promotion and not living up to the dress code ruled. Easily one of the best on the night, and her arm-candy (husband Colin Firth) scrubbed up nicely to.

Carina Lau: Sadly, the Asian actress got a bum deal from the pictures agencies who only added them to their sites the day after the event (no doubt not recognising who these beauties were, and what joy they were bringing to this lacklustre table). Continuing her love affair with all things Schiaparelli Haute Couture, Carina wore a black and white look marrying both Chinese intricacies with modernity and less face it – plenty of fierceness. I can also picture this on Dita von Teese.
