Best Promo Tour of the Year, Most Consistent & Breakout Star of 2017

Zendaya Coleman has recently embarked on ‘The Greatest Showman’ promo tour, and it is apropos that this is the film that has wrapped up her ‘greatest’ style year thus far.

But, even earlier on in 2017, she caught our eye with an equally strong promo tour for ‘Spider Man: Homecoming.’

There was no better way to close out her successful year than with that Moschino butterfly dress—visually recognizing how much the starlet has taken flight this year.

With her wide range of strong looks that also include Delpozo and Ralph & Russo Couture ensembles, among so many other designers, she’s really set the pace for promo tours, raising the bar on what a sartorially successful tour should look like.

Not only did Zendaya have the Best Promo Tours of the Year, she was our Most Consistent and Breakout Star of 2017.

She may only be 21, but we’ve known that statuesque Zendaya to be a fashionable force to be reckoned with for some time, as she’s proved herself fearless in the face of ever-changing looks that still maintain consistent polish and panache.

But, it was in 2017, that her sartorial sass of punchy, power looks and colouful, chameleonic creativity fully bloomed to really dominate the scene.

We recently called her transformation over the last 12 months ‘stratospheric,’ and there’s no better way to characterize this starlet’s rise to style.

It’s not just her fashion choices that make a statement, though. It’s the authority with which she wears them—from head to toe—that really commands attention and sets her apart.

I cannot wait to see what 2018 holds for Z.

Zendaya Coleman In Rochas – Sunrise

Prior to ‘The Greatest Showman’ premiere, Hugh Jackman, Zac Efron and Zendaya Coleman made an appearance on the ‘Sunrise’ show in Martin Place, Sydney, Australia on Wednesday (December 20).

It’s actual summer right now in Sydney, so Zendaya’s Rochas Spring 2018 look couldn’t have been more appropriate.

I can easily imagine the actress wearing the whole oriental inspired look, but as this was for a morning show I love how she gave the look a fresher outlook; adding a crisp white shirt which works a contemporary mood with its off-the-shoulder neckline and ruched sleeves.

Turquise earrings added some charm with her signature white Casadei pumps, which was also a trend during her ‘Spider-man: Homecoming’ tour, completing the look.

Zendaya Coleman In Moschino – ‘The Greatest Showman’ Sydney Premiere

Zendaya Coleman attended the Sydney premiere of ‘The Greatest Showman’ at The Star today (December 20) in Australia.

I know some will always label Zendaya “try-hard”, but I will always admire her creative and the way she always manages to evolve, not only from promo tour to promo tour, but from event to event.

So if trying hard means keeping me thoroughly entertained, I’ll take it.

Wearing a butterfly-print Moschino Spring 2018 gown, I’m instantly captivated by the bright pops of colour and gorgeous wrap design.

If I didn’t know better, I would say it was custom made for the actress as it makes a quirky statement, it perfectly suited to her skin tone and like a butterfly, her transformation over the last twelve months has been stratospheric.

Zendaya Coleman In Maria Escote, Styland & Ralph Lauren Collection – ‘The Greatest Showman’ Mexico City Photocall & Premiere

The one thing you can’t accuse Zendaya Coleman of is being afraid of colour during the press tour for ‘The Greatest Showman.’

Yesterday (December 13) in Mexico City, Zendaya’s red carpet M.O. was smart suiting; and of course she nailed both looks.

Photocall: The actress could not be missed in her clean cut Maria Escote blouse complemented by colourful vertical stripes for a flattering, body-elongating effect, which was only heightened by the bright fluorescent hue of her Styland trousers.

Premiere: Am I alone in feeling a strong equestrian vibe? I love how Zendaya empowers her red carpet styled with this Ralph Lauren Collection look. The festive red tuxedo blazer is tailored to perfection to complement her figure with minimal effort. I glad she adding black tuxedo trousers complete the androgynous look, as matching with her blazer may have been overkill with that glossy silk fabrication. Christian Louboutin ‘Cristacora’ pumps completed her look.

Zendaya Coleman In Fausto Puglisi – The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon

Zendaya Coleman stopped by ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’ in further support of ‘The Greatest Showman’ on Monday (December 11).

I love this longer rendition and pared-back styling of this Fausto Puglisi Fall 2017 design that conveyed an easy, still-edgy elegance once the hemline was lowered—with the buttons and red piping adding the right amount of fashion-forward flair.

A wavy, side-swept ponytail completed the streamlined look with a flourish of straight glamour.

Not all of you were overly enthused about her latest string of ensembles, so how does this one fare?

Zendaya Coleman In Ralph Lauren, Marni & Chloe – Out In New York City

Both Saturday (December 9) and Monday (December 11) saw another string of New York City appearances from Zendaya Coleman, who has been busy promoting ‘The Greatest Showman’—and showing off her continued chic streak.

Empire State Building: On Saturday, she was atop the Empire State Building—and at the top of her style game, too, with this Ralph Lauren tuxedo coat worn over a Martin Grant Spring 2018 skirt that I loved for its bright, emerald hue that radiated with its jewel-toned mood. The styling was perfection, too, with her sleek bun and statement earrings—with the snow adding a cinematic touch.

Out in New York:
Her glamour waves returned with this Marni Marni Pre-Fall 2017 coat that may have fallen on deaf ears if it were not for the snappy, exploded houdstooth collar. Casadei ‘Techno Blade’ boots added another layer of sharp edginess to the dynamic look.

Out In New York: We all know Zendaya doesn’t hide from the retro vibes, and they were strong here in this Chloe Spring 2018 ensemble that was playfully fun and funky—especially when topped off with the geometric booties.

I was in love with the seasonal sophistication of the first and second look. Which one caught your eye?
