Net-A-Porter Celebrates Rosetta Getty

Net-A-Porter Celebrates Rosetta Getty

Net-A-Porter hosted a dinner on Thursday (November 20) to celebrate the launch of Rosetta Getty’s namesake collection on Net-A-Porter.com, which launched today.

The designer states that her collection is for the modern woman who has a huge life and who isn’t going home to prepare for the next event. “It’s definitely for the woman on the go.”

From these three looks sported by Demi Moore, Marisa Tomei and Camilla Belle, that statement appears to be very true.

Each look can effortlessly transition from day to evening and is universally flattering with an easy to accessorize colour palette and soft tailoring.

Both Marisa and Camilla opted for a looser silhouette for their dinner party looks, but I have to say I’m quite taken with Demi’s look, going for a more fitted silhouette styled with a Louis Vuitton ‘Limelight’ clutch and Stuart Weitzman ‘Nudist’ sandals.

2014 LACMA Art + Film Gala Red Carpet Roundup

2014 LACMA Art + Film Gala Red Carpet Roundup

Here is a quick roundup of a few of the other Gucci-clad stars and a few others who attended the 2014 LACMA Art + Film Gala on Saturday (November 1) in Los Angeles.

Kate Beckinsale: Working an unfamiliar silhouette yet still oozing with glamour, the British actress wore a Gucci one-of-a-kind mauve gown featuring jewelled detailing, a high side slit and an open back. Swapping her favoured ponytail for a high bun, Kate styled her look with a Kotur clutch, Jack Vartanian diamond earrings and nude Gucci crystal-encrusted sandals.

Evan Rachel Wood: The face of Gucci’s Guilty fragrance wore a Gucci one-of-a-kind black long-sleeved gown infused with some gothic flavour via the lace inserts at the bodice and sleeves. A hypnotic rouge lip, black embellished Gucci heels and a black Gucci satin box clutch rounded out her look.

Toni Garrn: The model looked very statuesque wearing a pale-blue Gucci Cruise 2015 long-sleeved gown with silver crystal-embellished tubular detailing around the neckline. Letting the gown do all the talking, her hair and makeup were kept simple, with Gucci jewels adding a touch of sparkle.

Diane Von Furstenberg’s Journey Of A Dress Exhibition

Diane Von Furstenberg's Journey Of A Dress Exhibition 1The opening-party premiere of Diane Von Furstenberg’s ‘Journey of a Dress’ exhibition brought out a constellation of fashionable femmes (and fans) to preview the show at the Wilshire May Company Building in Los Angeles, California on Friday (January 10). Naturally, all the girls had on the best DVF designs.

Gwyneth Paltrow: Putting some sizzle into her strut, the actress vamped it up just a bit in a wrap jumpsuit, accented with a satin ribbon tie at the side. I found myself liking this sexy and streamlined approach from Gwynnie, especially with that magenta-pink lip. Yes, the plunge neckline is significant, but she’s perhaps one of the few that can make it work to her advantage.

Allison Williams: Looking as classically chic as ever, the ‘Girls’ starlet was oh-so-mod in a monochromatic ‘Amelia’ wrap dress with a flirty, graphic-patterned twirl skirt, from the Spring 2014 collection. She put a twist on the still-trending white pump with her Jimmy Choo ‘Madien’ pumps that were accented with a black ankle-strap and heel. Raising the girly look to a vintage-glam level, she styled her hair into a retro faux bob and painted on a deep-red lip.

Rooney Mara: The actress stayed in her black comfort zone in an asymmetrical dress topped off with a black satin ribbon. A tightly swept-back ‘do and oxblood lip added a more severe note to the loose frock—so, too, did the strange, one-shoulder jacket sleeve.

Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts Inaugural Gala Red Carpet Roundup

Ferragamo 1

Many more stars sashayed into the it-list lineup at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts Inaugural Gala, hosted on Thursday at the Wallis Annenberg Center in Beverly Hills, California, all donning the designer of the evening, Salvatore Ferragamo.

Camilla Belle: The actress complemented her bronzed glow with a plunging, tiered gown with a crisscross back in an arresting shade of blush-nude. Diamond jewels, a golden clutch and a severely slicked-back ‘do completed her ensemble.

Abbie Cornish: Opting for a glam, cerulean-blue dress, accented with a jewel brooch at the halter neckline and a studded belt, the Aussie star kept her accessories on the simple side with a basic box clutch, a dainty earring, and sideswept retro waves.

Freida Pinto: Also working a blushing nude hue, Freida glittered in her embellished halter confection. To highlight the T-back detail of the dress, she piled her dark locks into an updo and kept her jewels to a minimum. After all, the dress had enough dazzle.

Demi Moore In Valentino – Target Presents AFI’s Night At The Movies

Demi Moore In Valentino - Target Presents AFI's Night At The Movies

Demi Moore attended the Target Presents AFI’s Night at the Movies, held at the ArcLight Cinemas in Hollywood, California on Wednesday evening.

The actress wore a Valentino jumpsuit from the Spring 2013 collection.

Her sheer georgette Valentino jumpsuit features a button-down blouse bodice, high-waisted pants with a relaxed leg, plus a contrasting white collar and cuffs. Taking inspiration from the runway, Demi styled the jumpsuit with a black lace camisole.

I have to say, this has to be one of the most unflattering looks of all time.

As gorgeous as Demi is, this look does nothing for her except make her look wider than she really is.

Our complaint to some actresses is that they should go up a size, but Demi needed to go down a size. The look is much chicer and more streamlined on the runway, so Demi’s decision to supersize her look baffles me.

Brian Atwood ‘Aida’ sandals, a black Roger Vivier clutch and Sorellina ‘Victoria Serpente’ spiral earrings completed her look.
