Helen Mirren In Dolce & Gabbana – ‘Woman in Gold’ Berlin Film Festival Premiere

Helen Mirren In Dolce & Gabbana - 'Woman in Gold' Berlin Film Festival Premiere

Helen Mirren attended the ‘Woman in Gold’ photocall and premiere held during the 65th Berlinale International Film Festival at the Grand Hyatt Hotel on Monday (February 9) in Berlin, Germany.

The British beauty – and new face of L’Oreal Paris – wore a gorgeous signature lace gown from Dolce & Gabbana.

She couldn’t look more radiant if she tried.

The vivid colour saturating her lavish lace gown captures immediate attention, while its expertly tailored statuesque silhouette and deeply scooped neckline inspire lasting admiration, with diamonds only heightening the allure.

It may not be decked out with embellishments à la Elizabeth Banks, but it has the same dramatic impact.

Never fails to impress.

Elizabeth Banks In Elie Saab Couture – ‘Love & Mercy’ Berlin Film Festival Premiere

'Love & Mercy' Photocall - 65th Berlinale International Film Festival

Elizabeth Banks attended the ‘Love & Mercy’ photocall and premiere during the 65th Berlinale International Film Festival held at Friedrichstadt-Palast on Sunday (February 8) in Berlin, Germany.

Proving to be quite a worthy ambassador for the Elie Saab brand, the actress did what she does best—blow me away.

Her crimson ombre, voluminous tulle, and lace Fall 2014 couture gown featured a bodice fully embroidered with pearls and sequins. This will definitely find pride of place in her red carpet Hall of Fame.

I actually prefer this gown to her ‘Hunger Games’ London premiere gown. Perhaps because of its quintessential “King of Bling” feel or the way she is working the hell out of the look.

Ruby lips and matching Rauwolf clutch rounded out her look.

It will be hard for anyone, including Elizabeth herself, to top this one. But I hope many will rise to the challenge.

Natalie Portman In Christian Dior & Lanvin – ‘Knight of Cups’ Berlin Film Festival Photocall & Premiere

Natalie Portman In Christian Dior & Lanvin - 'Knight of Cups' Berlin Film Festival Photocall & Premiere

On Sunday night (February 8), Natalie Portman promoted her movie, Knight of Cups, during the 65th Berlinale International Film Festival in Berlin, Germany.

Photocall: For the photocall, the Dior ambassador wore a very chic black Dior wool coat dress, impeccably tailored with button details and flap pockets making up part of the design. Even though a tuxedo-inspired dress is nothing new for Dior, they never look or feel exactly the same. Take Felicity Jones’ for example.

Premiere: Later on in the evening, she pulled out all the stops by wearing a custom black, strapless Lanvin gown with velvet bustier and taffetas ruffle skirt accented with a black satin belt. This left me breathless as I got caught up in the supreme elegance of the look. It’s been a very long time since I was this moved by a Natalie Portman look. A Lanvin black satin, long ‘Evening’ minaudière with white floral detailing and Sidney Garber jewels rounded out her look.

Are you as enamoured by the second look as I am?

Jena Malone In Roksanda & Valentino – ‘Angelica’ Berlin Film Festival Photocall & Premiere

Jena Malone In Roksanda & Valentino - 'Angelica' Berlin Film Festival Photocall & Premiere

Jena Malone was not quite done with Berlin Film Festival as on Saturday (February 7) she served up two more looks while promoting her next project ‘Angelica’ with a photocall and premiere in Berlin, Germany.

Photocall: Bubbly and light with blue tones, Jena’s Roksanda Spring 2015 dress, highlighted with a layered collar and accented with a metal belt, exudes feminine charm. This polished appearance, with its seamless details, was styled with a tie-dye green Edie Parker clutch and suede green Casadei ‘Blade’ pumps. At first the shades of green with the blue didn’t work for me, until I noticed the green slit in the skirt. Now, I get it.

Premiere: Stepping things up for the evening premiere the actress wore a Valentino dress which embodies girlish chic with flirty ruffles, colourful floral embroidery, and a mesh bib. This piece is breathtakingly sublime, its bold and vibrant in design was styled with some chunky ankle strap pumps and bold red lip, adding the touch of sass we expect from a Jena Malone look.

Natalie Portman In Lanvin – ‘The Seventh Fire’ Berlin Film Festival Premiere

Natalie Portman In Lanvin - 'The Seventh Fire' Berlin Film Festival Premiere

Natalie Portman attended ‘The Seventh Fire’ premiere and panel discussion during the 65th Berlinale International Film Festival held at Haus der Berliner Festspiele on Saturday (February 7) in Berlin, Germany.

The actress wore a Lanvin Pre-Fall 2015 long sleeve, brown and black animal print effect cloqué dress with a crystal embroidered bib.

The bib places this dress in a premiere-worthy category plus it helps prevent this look from being a total snooze.

Had this been tea-length I may have found a way to become more excited about this look.

Nicole Kidman In Louis Vuitton & Valentino Couture – ‘Queen of the Desert’ Berlin Film Festival Photocall & Premiere

Nicole Kidman In Louis Vuitton & Valentino Couture - 'Queen of the Desert' Berlin Film Festival Photocall & Premiere

Nicole Kidman chose the Berlinale International Film Festival to showcase a new chic, shorter ‘do while promoting the ‘Queen of the Desert’ movie today (February 6) in Berlin, Germany.

Photocall: Dressing for the current season, the Australian actress kept her look simple, yet modern wearing a Louis Vuitton black long-sleeve dress fashioned with an oversized exposed zipper. Gleaming with sartorial finesse she completed her look with black tights, Fred Leighton earrings, an Omega timepiece and those popular LV ankle boots.

Premiere: The premiere is where she gave me mild goosebumps wearing a Valentino Haute Couture gown from the Sala Bianca 945 collection. I love everything about this breath-taking look from the luminous white daisy appliqués to the girlish flounced cuffs to achieve standout elegance.

It’s about time someone served up a BDOTY worthy look; it has been a very dry January.
