Octavia Spencer In Tadashi Shoji – ‘Insurgent’ New York Premiere

Octavia Spencer was also at the ‘Insurgent’ New York premiere, held at Ziegfeld Theater on Monday (March 16) in New York City, joining Zoe Kravitz, Ashley Judd and Shailene Woodley.

It will come as no surprise that the actress once again relied on her favoured designer, Tadashi Shoji, for this richly patterned, lacy filigree gown.

Yet I was delighted to see her in this more relaxed, flowing silhouette that had a semi-boho-inspired vibe—even if the skirt puddled a few centimetres too long at the floor.

A Thale Blanc clutch, soft waves, and neutral makeup completed her effortless look.

Shailene Woodley In Ralph Lauren – ‘Insurgent’ New York Premiere

Shailene Woodley stood alongside Zoe Kravitz and Ashley Judd at the ‘Insurgent’ New York premiere at Ziegfeld Theater on Monday (March 16) in New York City.

She donned a Ralph Lauren Fall 2015 black dress—a sharply tailored, tuxedo-inspired design that was very much in keeping with her more straightforward, minimalistic aesthetic.

The statuesque actress can easily pull off a plunge silhouette and leggy, front slit, but the overall effect just didn’t feel quite special enough for the occasion.

And, yet again, her lacklustre hair also is putting me off fully appreciating the look, as it appears unfinished.

Ashley Judd In Badgley Mischka – ‘Insurgent’ New York Premiere

Ashley Judd joined Zoe Kravitz at the ‘Insurgent’ New York premiere, held at Ziegfeld Theater on Monday (March 16) in New York City.

The actress impressed wearing a Badgley Mischka Spring 2015 floral-printed, plunge gown.

Not only does the lilac colour do her plenty of justice, she wore the captivating confection to perfection with a matching mulberry lip and soft waves that reflected the draping and movement of the dress.

I love how just the smallest detail of the architectural, statement shoulder subtly referenced a darker, futuristic spirit. That artistic embellishment took this gown to another level, putting a powerful edge on all that prettiness.

Zoe Kravitz In Christian Dior Couture – ‘Insurgent’ New York Premiere

Zoe Kravitz attended the ‘Insurgent’ New York premiere, hosted at Ziegfeld Theater on Monday (March 16) in New York City.

Still staying away from her once-familiar all-black colour theme, the actress cut a striking profile in a Christian Dior Spring 2014 Couture geometrically embroidered pink and dark-ink-blue silk frock.

Directional in its sculpted, bell-shaped silhouette and the extended cape-like appendage at the back, the dress possessed the slightest of a sci-fi mood that proved perfect for the film.

Completing the dress were hints of jewelry, including a Dior choker necklace, Dior earrings and stacks of Dior rings. The necklace was unnecessary, given the impact of the dress, but it was so subtle that it didn’t prove too distracting.

Rose Byrne In Prabal Gurung & Thakoon – ‘Adult Beginners’ and ‘Spy’ 2015 SXSW Music, Film + Interactive Festival Premieres

Rose Byrne In Prabal Gurung & Thakoon - 'Adult Beginners' and 'Spy' 2015 SXSW Music, Film + Interactive Festival Premieres

Rose Byrne had a busy weekend attending the premieres of ‘Adult Beginners’ and ‘Spy’ during the 2015 SXSW Music, Film + Interactive Festival held at the Paramount on Sunday (March 15) in Austin, Texas.

So many actresses upheld a sunnier slant to their red carpet looks during this festival while Rose has already moved forward to Fall.

‘Adult Beginners’ Premiere: We know Rose for her love for uber sweet frocks, but her look took a slightly edgier turn in this Prabal Gurung Pre-Fall 2015 look.

‘Spy’ Premiere: Not only was her Thakoon chiffon frock set on a moody tone of dark florals, but her styling including knee-high leather boots, and a deep rouge lip upheld her Fall chic offering.
