Lily Collins In Maticevski – ‘Love, Rosie’ Tokyo Premiere

Lily Collins In Maticevski R15 - 'Love, Rosie' Tokyo Premiere

Lily Collins was back on the red carpet for the ‘Love, Rosie’ premiere in Tokyo, Japan on Wednesday (December 3).

The starlet donned a Maticevski Resort 2015 strapless, high-low gown in a burnt-orange hue.

The Aussie designer is known for his sculptural shapes, and I cannot help but be drawn to the intriguing contemporary spin on the New Look ball-gown silhouette here—especially the exposed zipper detail at the back.

Still, despite the more complex architecture of her gown, the effect was one of minimalism when accessorized only by blink-and-you-missed-them jewels and a simple sheer black pump, which I would have traded for a soft metallic shade.

Playing up the classic glamour even more, Lily wore her hair in a sleek, rolled-under bob. She opted for a more barefaced approach, too. Of course, with those stunning brows, who needs makeup.

Menswear Midweek Red Carpet Roundup

Men 3 december

Here is a quick roundup of the men who have suited up in the name of fashion and movie premieres so far this week.

David Beckham: The former soccer star wore a Dior Homme wool and silk shawl-collar tuxedo. Black on black on black never looked so good. I love how he added a World AIDS Day red ribbon in support of the charity and his wife Victoria Beckham, who is a UNAIDS ambassador, while attending the British Fashion Awards.

Orlando Bloom: While the hair is a tad girlified for my liking, one can’t fault the British actor’s navy blue Lanvin silk shawl-collar tuxedo worn to the world premiere of ‘The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies’ on Monday alongside Evangeline Lilly.

Harry Styles: Always looking very sharp, Harry wore a red vertical-striped suit from Lanvin’s Fall 2014 collection. Probably committing something of a fashion faux pas wearing a French brand to the British Fashion Awards, who has time to nitpick when this mod look suits his style to a T?

Olga Kurylenko In Emilio Pucci – ‘The Water Diviner’ Melbourne Premiere

Olga Kurylenko In Emilio Pucci - 'The Water Diviner' Melbourne Premiere

Following the Sydney premiere, Olga Kurylenko was back on the red carpet for the Melbourne premiere of ‘The Water Diviner’, held at the Rivoli Cinema today (December 3) in Australia.

The actress went in a totally different direction, selecting an Emilio Pucci weaved nappa leather dress accented with fringes and precious studs from the Spring 2015 collection styled with Tabitha Simmons ‘Dana’ black satin sandals.

She wears it well, but I can’t say I’m a huge fan of the dress itself.

Perhaps it’s because there’s too much going on, perhaps because of the warrior princess vibe I’m getting from the look, or that it’s such a stark contrast to the first look, which I loved.

Olga Kurylenko In Prada – ‘The Water Diviner’ Sydney Premiere

Olga Kurylenko In Prada - 'The Water Diviner' Sydney Premiere

Olga Kurylenko attended the world premiere of ‘The Water Diviner’ held at the State Theatre on Tuesday (December 2) in Sydney, Australia.

The gorgeous actress wore a Prada mint-green multi-layered silk georgette gown with a cross-over bodice and neck-tie that draped softly down her back.

This is yet another example of how frustratingly inconsistent Prada’s red carpet gowns are, as Olga is a vision of perfection here, even though I wish she would return to her brunette locks.

Soft, elegant and feminine, perhaps Miuccia’s red carpet mantra going forward should be less is more.

Tiffany & Co. jewels rounded out her stunning red carpet look.

Evangeline Lilly In Reem Acra – ‘The Hobbit: The Battle Of The Five Armies’ World Premiere

Evangeline Lilly In Reem Acra - 'The Hobbit The Battle Of The Five Armies' London Premiere

Evangeline Lilly returned to the scene for the world premiere of ‘The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies’ on Monday (December 1) at Odeon Leicester Square in London, England.

For her reemergence on the red carpet, the actress who’s currently flaunting a sleek, short bob wore a Reem Acra Resort 2015 strapless gown.

It was a grand masterwork from the designer, with its ivory ball skirt and gold bodice beaded in a chainmail, trellis-like pattern and punctuated by miniature turquoise stones. It also showed off Evangeline’s enviably toned shoulders.

The glittery black and gold clutch would have been better if replaced with a more delicate bag, but she hit just the right balance of jewels with her gemstone earrings and arm bracelet.

I can see why she likely opted for this ensemble for the ‘Hobbit’ premiere, as it has all the elements of a fantasy princess look mixed with a slight warrior edge.

It’s been close to a year since we’ve seen Evangeline on the red carpet. What do you make of her return?

Angelina Jolie In Ralph & Russo Couture – ‘Unbroken’ London Premiere

Angelina Jolie In Ralph & Russo - 'Unbroken' London Premiere

Angelina Jolie attended the premiere of ‘Unbroken’ held at the Odeon Leicester Square on Tuesday (November 25) in London, England.

The actress turned to her favourite British couturier: Ralph & Russo, who have been known to dress Angelina on several occasions, including her last visit to London to receive the Insignia of Honorary Dame Grand Cross from the Queen.

This white Spring 2014 Couture pencil dress with a bolero cape is not too dissimilar in that it’s also impeccably crafted using luxe fabrics with special attention made to even the smallest detail.

Some might deem this photocall worthy at best, wish she’d opted for the runway embroidered version or preferred this as a gown, I would simply state that this is her best look so far on this promo tour.

A simple updo, nude pumps – which perhaps didn’t work too well – and Beladora vintage earrings completed her look,

You may remember that Fan Bingbing wore the runway version back in May.
