Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Cannes Mens Tuesday

Tuesday premieres during Cannes Film Festival included ‘Cleopatra’ and ‘Behind the Candelabra’, making way for appearances from some actors we haven’t seen in a while and others who have solid red carpet résumés.

Chris Tucker: For the premiere of ‘Cleopatra’ on Tuesday, Chris wore an unbuttoned white dinner jacket similar to the one he wore to the Independent Spirit Awards in February. It’s no secret he’s partial to overly wide lapels, so it was no surprise to see large shawl lapels. He paired the jacket with black pants that could have been slimmed down a bit, a white shirt, and a black bow tie. I love how he selected a jacket to complement his lovely plus one, Azja Pryor.

Adrien Brody: Along with his beautiful date Lara Lieto, Adrien arrived to the ‘Cleopatra’ premiere in a suave black notch-lapel Dolce & Gabbana tuxedo. It fit well, like most suits Adrien wears, and he even added a black-faced Bulgari watch to accent the tux. He finished the look off with a white shirt and black bow tie.

Christoph Waltz: Christoph donned a well-cut black Prada tuxedo for the ‘Behind the Candelabra’ premiere. It fit in all the right places. The shawl lapels and bow tie gave it a little more class. The ease with which Christoph is able to pull off his tux made this my favourite look, just ahead of Adrien.

Cannes Day 7 Round Up 1

Here is a quick round up from the other ladies on the red carpet during Cannes Film Festival this evening.

Petra Nemcova: The model dazzled on the red carpet for the ‘Behind the Candelabra’ premiere this evening wearing an Emilio Pucci fully sequined, champagne coloured long-sleeve gown with chiffon inserts in the skirt to give it a more glamorous feel. Her belted look was styled with Chopard jewels.

Chanel Iman: This is quite an underwhelming effort by Chanel Iman for the ‘Cleopatra’ premiere. I’m more excited about her David Yurman jewels and her Louis Vuitton miniadure than I am her black strapless gown.

Erin Heatherton: The model made her red carpet debut at Cannes wearing a beautiful beaded Roberto Cavalli gown styled with a matching clutch and Chopard jewels.

Kylie Minogue In Roberto Cavalli - ‘Les Salauds’ Cannes Premiere

Kylie Minogue made her first appearance on the red carpet for the ‘Les Salauds’ premiere during Cannes Film Festival this evening.

The Australian actress wore a Roberto Cavalli gown, just one of many gorgeous gowns we have seen by the Italian designer during this festival.

I am mesmerized by the embroidered details on her stunning ivory gown with plunging neckline and light chiffon layered train, which she styled with drop earrings and a diamond encrusted Chopard ring.

A sweeping updo with a diamond encrusted brooch accented her look.

I wonder how many gowns are housed in Mr Cavalli’s vault. No two are the same.

Kylie will also be attending the annual amfAR Gala on Thursday.

Aishwarya Rai In Armani Privé - ‘Cleopatra’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Along with Liya Kebebe, Aishwarya Rai has been one of the most consistent stars during Cannes Film Festival.

At the ‘Cleopatra’ premiere she hit a home run in the fashion ball park again tonight, wearing a Gucci Première gown.

I love the contrasting textures of her deep teal one shoulder silk gown featuring a pleated fitted bodice and dramatic train. Even though it’s her second fall-like hue, it looks divine against her skin tone.

Many of you have complained about her beautiful hair competing with the gown for the last two looks, so on this occasion she swept that mane up into a high top-knot with a hot shade of fuchsia pink applied to her lips.

A black satin Gucci Broadway clutch with a jeweled clasp completed her look.

Of all Aishwarya’s three looks, where does this one rank?

Joan Smalls In Emilio Pucci - ‘Cleopatra’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

For those of you tired of tulle and sick of sequins, Joan Smalls’ look at the ‘Cleopatra’ Cannes Film Festival premiere this evening should serve as a welcome tonic.

The beautiful model, who’s still working an ombre ‘do, wore an Emilio Pucci Pre-Fall 2013 romantic look.

Her powder-pink lace long-sleeve gown with a plunging neckline was styled with a crystal encrusted belt, white strappy sandals and smouldering smoky eyes.

Do you enjoy this change of pace, or is it not enough for Cannes?

Sharon Stone In Roberto Cavalli - 'Behind the Candelabra' Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Sharon Stone brought some Hollywood razzle dazzle to the red carpet this evening for the ‘Behind the Candelabra’ Cannes Film Festival premiere, held at Palais des Festivals in France this evening.

The actress stunned in an electric-blue Roberto Cavalli embellished gown with a plunging neckline that hits all my sweet spots.

Her necklace is way OTT even for this gown, but what is Cannes without some unnecessary opulent jewels.

A Ferragamo clutch completed her sultry look.
