Emma Stone In Valentino Couture – ‘Mother!’ New York Premiere

Emma Stone joined Jennifer Lawrence for the New York premiere of ‘Mother!’ on Wednesday (September 13).

Going for pared-back Parisian elegance, the actress wore a black Valentino Fall 2017 Couture gown which possesses an inherently sultry feel thanks to the sheerness.

The hair is still killing me, but I much prefer the overall look over her Toronto outing.

Thoughts?

Halle Berry In Zuhair Murad – ‘Kings’ Toronto Film Festival Premiere

Halle Berry is one of those celebs I would file in the “frustratingly inconsistent pile”, but she was firing on all cylinders for the ‘Kings’ premiere during the 2017 Toronto International Film Festival on Wednesday (September 13).

Opulent floral lace and embroideries raise the glamour quotient of this Zuhair Murad Fall 2017 jumpsuit.

It’s so good to see her back to her sexy best, even if my first thought was I wish the trousers were half an inch shorter.

With her trademark pixie making way for a high braided ponytail, she completed her look with Borgioni cognac diamond hoop earrings and Joelle diamond rings.

Jennifer Lawrence In Christian Dior Couture – ‘Mother!’ New York Premiere

Jennifer Lawrence blew me away with her latest Dior Couture look for the New York premiere of ‘Mother!’ on Wednesday (September 13).

I’m pretty sure some might say this tulle gown is too bridal, but I think the grey mixed with the white gives this a look different dimension.

Personally, I’m so swept up in the fairytale romance of it all. Especially with the floral detailing accenting her updo.

Jennifer and Dior haven’t been my favourite fashion union, but this has been her most impressive promo tour since the first ‘Hunger Games’ film.

She could even be in the running for promo tour star of 2017.

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Here’s midweek roundup of the men who have been spotted on the red-carpet circuit at the 2017 Toronto Film Festival and beyond.

Garrett Hedlund: There’s no denying that Garrett did look like quite the charmer at the ‘Mudbound’ TIFF premiere on Tuesday (September 12), despite the stuffier nature of his three-piece Dolce & Gabbana suit that could have used some proper tailoring through the pants, as well.

Luke Evans: I much preferred Luke’s Dolce & Gabbana ensemble at the ‘Professor Marston & The Wonder Woman’ TIFF premiere on Tuesday, as the aubergine colour of the suit mixed with the sky-blue shirt and paisley printed tie was such a handsome combo.

Andrew Garfield: The ‘Breathe’ TIFF premiere on Monday (September 11) had the actor dressing up in a charcoal Tom Ford suit styled with a wide, textural tie for added impact—and a less expected play on proportions, when a skinnier tie might have been anticipated with the slim-line jacket and pants.

Gemma Arterton In Markus Lupfer – ‘The Escape’ Toronto Film Festival

Gemma Arterton brought some menswear inspiration to the Toronto Film Festival, where she attended ‘The Escape’ premiere on Tuesday (September 12).

She dressed up a black V-neck with a gray Markus Lupfer Resort 2018 blazer and shorts and Jimmy Choo pumps.

I’m enamoured with the way Gemma opted for a relaxed take on suiting, but I find myself missing some of the lighter frivolity of the printed blouse and drop earrings. Do you agree?

Alison Brie In Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini, Roland Mouret & Wolk Morais – 2017 Toronto Film Festival

Alison Brie has been a regular at the Toronto Film Festival, allowing her multiple opportunities to experiment with her feminine style. She attended the HFPA & InStyle Celebration on Saturday (September 9), followed by a trip to the IMDB Studio on Sunday (September 10). Then it was off to the ‘The Disaster Artist’ premiere on Monday (September 11).

HFPA & InStyle Celebration: While many brought out the sparkles and metallics, the actress charmed in a plaid Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini Pre-Fall 2017 dress. Kurt Geiger ‘Hermione’ sandals elevated the ensemble for evening.

IMDB Studio: Experimenting with an athletic take on glamour, Alison opted for a Roland Mouret Spring 2017 skirt, styled simply with a black Wolford ‘Jamaika’ bodysuit and Stella Luna ‘Bandana’ sandals. I enjoyed the fresh take, but would have preferred to see this ensemble switched with the tartan mini.

‘The Disaster Artist’ Premiere: Finally, she walked the transitional line between summer and fall with a Wolk Morais Spring 2017 black velvet dress with thigh-skimming hemline. I appreciated the pared-down accessorizing to let the draping on the mini shine. Sadly, it can sometimes get lost in photos.
