Mary Elizabeth Winstead In Valentino – ‘All About Nina’ Tribeca Film Festival Premiere

The Tribeca Film Festival saw many stars in attendance including Tessa Thompson, Karen GillanLily James and Lea Seydoux. Mary Elizabeth Winstead stepped out at the ‘All About Nina’ premiere on Sunday (April 22) in New York City.

The actress embraced Valentino’s signature shade in a ruffled gown from the Pre-Fall 2018 collection.

It had a waterfall of ruffles on the skirt but the detail wasn’t overwhelming thanks to the placement and the scale of the frills.

Combined with the sheer polka dot fabric, the ensemble has a girlish charm.

Gold accessories including a Jimmy Choo Cloud clutch and Jenny Bird earrings played off the rich red.

Nicola Peltz In Vera Wang Collection & Jennifer Morrison In Cushnie et Ochs – ‘Back Roads’ Tribeca Film Festival Premiere

Nicola Peltz and Jennifer Morrison were two of the lovely ladies at the Tribeca Film Festival. They attended the ‘Back Roads’ premiere on Friday (April 20).

Nicola Peltz: Definitely not the average tuxedo, the actress cut a fashion-forward figure in Vera Wang Collection Fall 2018 separates. There is structure yet softness and the off-the-shoulder neckline adds some sensuality against the long sleeves. The tailoring is what brings the look down with the too-long trousers. The hairstyle, with its retro sentiment, also feels out of place.

Jennifer Morrison: Opting for bright colors, the former ‘Once Upon a Time’ actress wore a Cushnie et Ochs Pre-Fall 2018 dress styled with a Hayward clutch. The rich pink shade enlivened the sleek silhouette. The fringed asymmetrical neckline added a flirty tactile quality against the sleek base. It was refreshing to see the embellishment here as opposed to on the hem.

Karen Gillan In Valentino – ‘The Party’s Just Beginning’ Tribeca Film Festival Premiere

Karen Gillan was back on the red carpet at ‘The Party’s Just Beginning’ premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival on Sunday (April 22) in New York City.

One could definitely call this Valentino gown a party frock. The tulle fabric sprinkled with white splotches takes on a fairy tale starry sky quality.

I foresee the slashes across the bodice as the divisive detail that will either kill the look or have people swept away.

I appreciate the idea of trying to work a graphic, sexy element into the whimsical style, but don’t think the finish is as strong as it could have been.

The black bodice feels too stark against the more muted tulle and the ratio of skin to fabric feels off. Had there been some modifications, it could have been an arresting look.

Noomi Rapace In Givenchy – ‘Stockholm’ Tribeca Film Festival Premiere

It as a busy weekend in Tribeca, New York with a host of stars including Tessa Thompson, Lily James, Lea Seydoux, Alba Rohrwacher and Saoirse Ronan taking to the red carpet for the start of the annual Film Festival.

Noomi Rapace was also in attendance promoting her new film ‘Stockholm’ on Thursday (April 19).

The Swedish actress has never been afraid of fashion, often opting for bold strong looks which may not always work, but I always admire her confidence and bold choices.

Little else makes you feel quite as badass as a pair of leather trousers, and Givenchy’s Spring 2018 two-tone interpretation posses an urban cool finish, while taking away from any retro connotations the blouse was hoping to bring to the party.

I much prefer the look sans leather coat, but I feel the look works well either way.

Tessa Thompson In Christian Dior – ‘Little Woods’ Tribeca Film Festival Premiere

Tessa Thompson joined Lily James at the ‘Little Woods’ Tribeca Film Festival premiere on Saturday (April 21) in New York City.

I’m sure many may recognize this patchwork Christian Dior Fall 2018 skirt as a variation on the dress we recently saw Sienna Miller wear.

However, I have a feeling that Tessa’s look might resonate more successfully with you, as she brought such an innate sense of modern, cool-girl style to the quirky mishmash of plaid and ’60s-inspired patchwork.

On this occasion, I even loved the slight rebellion of the Dior bra peeking beneath her sheer blouse, as a Diorquake belt and Dior boots wrapped up the look in similar stead to its runway presentation.

She accessorised with an L’Afshar clutch and Bliss Lau jewels along with a dynamic, magenta lip and curls that brought such personality to the ensemble.
