Keira Knightley In Valentino Couture – 2015 Oscars

Keira Knightley In Valentino Couture - 2015 Oscars

Keira Knightley was also in attendance at the 2015 Oscars, held at the Dolby Theatre on Sunday (February 22) in Hollywood, California.

Following a familiar bohemian vibe, the actress’s Valentino Spring 2015 Couture confection was very much a Keira gown.

The smocked bodice and wispy layered chiffon skirt were whimsically embroidered with a garden of needlepoint floral and swooping, cursive phrases; it was a softly gracious silhouette for her burgeoning baby bump.

While she didn’t wear Chanel, she did style the look with Chanel Fine Jewelry, also crowning her wavy locks with an embellished headband.

At first I wasn’t drawn to the nude colouring against her alabaster skin, but the poetic, dream-like quality of the gown won me over.

Yay or nay?

    She looks great!

  2. MatBer February 24, 2015 at 21:39 #

How can one wear a corset while pregnant? She destroyed a very beautiful dress.

  3. Bailey February 24, 2015 at 02:51 #

Not in love, but its really cute on her!

  4. Phoenix February 23, 2015 at 17:43 #

Meh. The color is not right for her tone. And I like that she found a dress that fits better for her new shape, but Im not a fan of this really. The writing esp I find bothersome, unnecessary, strange. I would love for her to pull her hair back.

  5. Effy February 23, 2015 at 17:26 #

To me she’s perfect. She looks so beautiful, now I can understand what people ment when the talked about pregnancy glow, this is it.. I mean she looks like a fairy princess!!

  6. Ana February 23, 2015 at 13:52 #

I’m in love with this look, despite the déjà vu feeling, maybe it’s because the whole look is very true to her style. The embroidered handwriting makes it unique. Love also the headband.

  7. tessa February 23, 2015 at 13:17 #

she looks fantastic. she looks best in valentino.

  8. bisbee February 23, 2015 at 13:14 #

She looks lovely…I would have liked it better with the half-up, half-down hair, but way better than her Chanel picks lately…

It might as well had Keira written all over it. So her. I love it. She looks comfortable and radiant. Her best maternity look for sure.

  10. Seema February 23, 2015 at 12:47 #

Beautiful gown but it would have looked better in women of color.Pale skin tone is kind of washed off for this gown.

  11. Kimma February 23, 2015 at 10:10 #

Keira is so radiant even with the beige.

  12. kane February 23, 2015 at 09:42 #

As dreamy and very English as a good Regency novel. I’ll have it. I had already noted the gown on the runway and it’s easily my favourite of her maternity looks.

Is she going to budoir? It looks like a sleep-wear

+1 This look is no bueno. Keira’s pregnancy style is horrid. I adore her but not this or any of her offerings since becoming pregnant.

  14. darcy February 23, 2015 at 08:30 #

This dress with Golden Globe’s hair would have been a nicer combination.

  15. Sanya February 23, 2015 at 08:13 #

Probably one of the best dressed of the event, however a déjà vu.

  16. Jai February 23, 2015 at 07:32 #

I think this one will grow on me. She also looks very comfortable in it!

  17. Valissa February 23, 2015 at 05:43 #

It’s very Valentino and very Keira. I didnt die over it but I still think it’s lovely and Keira looks beautiful.

  18. Sonya February 23, 2015 at 05:30 #

I’m officially stumped. What does this woman have against pulling her hair back? Was she attacked by a bad updo and has now sworn off them forever?

Pick the hair or the detail around the neckline, but pick one. SHE MUST CHOOSE.

  19. dafne February 23, 2015 at 05:19 #

    yay, all the way!!

  20. Pedro February 23, 2015 at 05:13 #

    She looks flawless! Love her

  21. TeaAtTwo February 23, 2015 at 04:55 #

Has a nice, soft, romantic appeal but an elegant updo would have been much better.

  22. Alina February 23, 2015 at 04:53 #

I kind of called this one! 😀

I like the gown, but the styling is way too casual for this event. An updo and a stronger lipcolour would have been great.

  23. EmmaWoodhouse February 23, 2015 at 04:21 #

I’m really enjoying the gentle romance of this look. It’s unique, unlike anything else this evening. I really wish she’d worn a romantic updo, though.

    love this on her.

  25. Peony February 23, 2015 at 04:10 #

Adore this. Yes it’s typical Keira, but she was born to wear Valentino and it works for her. She looks ethereal, like a dream. Beautiful.

  26. Nat39 February 23, 2015 at 03:58 #

    Bland, boring Keira. Meh.

  27. pinksugar February 23, 2015 at 03:56 #

I don’t love this, but I don’t hate it either.

  28. Noemi February 23, 2015 at 03:55 #

Yay. She looks so graceful. I love the embroidery of the dress, written in Italian. She and Valentino are a perfect match, while she often looks bad in Chanel.

  29. Athena February 23, 2015 at 03:47 #

Very Keira. I love that she sticks to her own style but would have preferred the dress without the embroidered writing

    • snowlion February 23, 2015 at 08:39 #

I agree, I find the writing very distracting and it is unnecessary and unattractive on this lovely, dreamy dress. Other than that she looks like Keira and that’s a wonderful thing.

  30. Maria February 23, 2015 at 03:45 #

she looks like a pregnant nymph

    • julyol1972 February 23, 2015 at 05:22 #

Lol! Yep, I went with pregnant woodland fairy myself, but nymph works!

  31. Alex February 23, 2015 at 03:43 #

    Ethereal and dreamy

  32. Amy February 23, 2015 at 03:39 #

Maybe I love this because I love. Valentino, but I think it’s beautiful and very very graceful. I don’t mind the hair that much either, kind adds to the free spiritedness of this look.

  33. Christine February 23, 2015 at 03:38 #

This is kinda cute. I like this better than her previous looks.

  34. Yeliz February 23, 2015 at 03:37 #

It suits to her style, but this gown isn’t Oscars material. Not really a fan of the hairstyle either.
