Lady Gaga In Atelier Versace – Oscars 2014

Lady Gaga In Atelier Versace Couture - Oscars 2014

Lady Gaga was in typically grand form, as she paraded down the Oscars 2014 red carpet at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California on Sunday (March 2).

As the current face of Versace, it came as no surprise that she was posing theatrically in the label. The showy metallic, curve-enhancing column gown, traced in glinting silver Art Deco embellishment, hailed from the Atelier Versace Spring 2014 Couture collection and came draped with a dramatic lavender sash.

Yet, this glittering glamazon dress was still a more normalized look for Mother Monster, who traded in her standard otherworldly styling for a more classic approach. She even skipped the Donatella extensions for a sleek, platinum-blonde updo and pretty lilac eye shadow.

Oscar had nothing on Mother Monster, who could have been her own prize statuette, with her enormously high stilts—custom Brian Atwood platforms—acting as the trophy stand.

Aside from the ridiculous shoes, this is Gaga-gorgeous—her version of diva dressing at its finest.

For Gaga, I’m Gaga. I love how the stole was draped on the runway. Less so the way Gaga wore it. Happy to have missed the shoes.

This is like Kristin Chenoweth 2.0 and Kristin did it better.

The dress is gorgeous, she should have skipped the horrendous scarf

I don’t what she’s doing at Oscar but this is the MOST incredible outing of Lady Gaga! I never knew she could be that elegant, this is probably the only Gaga which is my favorite. Love H-2-T.

She was in the film Machete Kills this year… I can’t deny she looks great!

      • Saree March 3, 2014 at 07:19 #

But, that film was panned! Not even nominated from my knowledge. I wouldn’t have even known she attended if she wasn’t listed here, and I hear she turned up after everyone was already seated – perhaps a way of garnering all the media attention? Or actually respecting the true attendees by not causing a circus.

Either way, hiding the shoes it’s a great look, for Gaga. But once you see her horrendous shoes, it’s a look that is instantly spoiled.

I love this dress and I was hoping somebody would wear it to the Oscars. I never ever would have picked Gaga but I have to admit she looks great! She didn’t completely ruin this wonderful dress and for that I am grateful!

She kinda look like a younger version of Donatella here. She looks great!

  19. kane March 3, 2014 at 09:55 #

I wish she had an edgier short hair-style, but I can’t fault this, she looks good.

  20. TheDameIntl March 3, 2014 at 15:25 #

She looks beautiful but I don’t like normal Gaga, and I’m not enjoying the Donatella imitation.

  21. EmmaWoodhouse March 3, 2014 at 15:59 #

Probably the best she’s ever looked, but it’s still far from the best of the night.

  22. Ziggy March 3, 2014 at 21:28 #

Without the draping, it looks more dramatic. And I love it! I’m not loving the shawl at first, but the more I think of it, the shawl adds a layer of drama that Gaga could pull off. But man, doesn’t she look so much like Donatella?! But I love the hair and makeup. Really dramatic as well. And kudos to Lady Gaga for this elegant turnaround. Thank God, the shoes are covered by the dress but the
shoes keeps the “Gaga-ness” I guess.

I love the scarf! She appears to be channeling her inner sixties Italian film siren!
