Laura Vandervoort In House of Ronald – The Trevor Project’s ‘TrevorLIVE LA’ Event Honouring Jane Lynch

Laura Vandervoort In House of Ronald - The Trevor Project’s ‘TrevorLIVE LA’ Event Honouring Jane Lynch

After showcasing a short, sassy style last week, Laura Vandervoort extended her blonde mane for the Trevor Project’s ‘TrevorLIVE LA’ event honouring Jane Lynch, which was held at the Hollywood Palladium in Hollywood, California.

Wearing her hair back in a simple ponytail, the beautiful actress worked a summery look, wearing a House of Ronald Spring 2014 dress with a floral illusion wrap top and long cream skirt.

From the long shot it looks like a crop top and skirt, but take a look at the close up below to see how the look is constructed. Did this ruin the illusion?

Neil Lane jewels and another Rauwolf clutch styled her look, with a berry lip colour and luscious lashes providing the finishing touches.

I like this a lot – pretty, elegant, racy but demure at the same time, not easy to do. Her hair and makeup are perfect also, nice work.

Gorgeous girl in a gorgeous gown. Wow. Best look of the week that’s for sure.

Loved this look and a lot of the looks Laura’s been wearing lately. I think the illusion was done right, otherwise the top could have never kept that shape. Def a BDOTW for me!

I love this look even though it’s not season appropriate. The illusion is done to perfection over here and the overall styling is great!

She looks absolutely gorgeous!! Stunning dress BDOTW…those are jewels I think, not flowers on the print

Oh my…yes, you are right. Thanks for pointing that out. I went back and looked, and indeed, the print is of faceted gemstones, which actually makes me love it even more! She is such a beauty! It would be hard to make her look bad, I would think, but she looks especially divine in this fairytale of a dress. I think the illusion is very well constructed. I’ve never heard of this designer before, but I’m naturally intrigued to see more now.

I am quite impressed with the illusion of this gown.

      • mattison December 9, 2013 at 15:40 #

It’s hard to argue when she looks so fantastic, season-appropriateness aside. The illusion was done to perfection here.

She’s BDOTW-worthy imo! Really beautiful, love the allure of the look! But in the closeups yes I’m bored by the illusion panels. I’m working on crop tops like that and yes it’s difficult to make them work on the body but illusion panels are too easy ^^
