Miley Cyrus In NY Vintage – 2013 MTV EMAs

Miley Cyrus - 2013 MTV EMAs

Following her MTV Music Video Awards performance, I am sure all eyes were on Miley Cyrus as she took to the red carpet at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam this evening for the MTV EMA’s 2013.

The singer arrived wearing a Biggie and Tupac ‘Please Stop The Violence’ graphic dress from the NY Vintage archives, which probably started out life as a simple tee-shirt but it has been hoochiefied for our entertainment.

If you object to my use of the word hoochiefied, please see the back; what little of it there is.

Miley wore this to shock, but to me, this look is very much expected.

Tom Ford boots and a selection of jewels completed her look.

    Rihanna/Gwen Stefani/Fergie ghetto style wannabe.
I can’t deal with this girl. She’s anniying!

    • JJ November 11, 2013 at 17:13 #

What up with her eyes in the right picture? LOL

  2. Christine November 10, 2013 at 20:08 #

This is much expected but this is so tacky beyond words.

    • Noemi November 10, 2013 at 20:19 #

I agree, “Stop violence”? Somebody should wear “Stop tackiness”.

        That comment is hilarious!

    • Nat November 10, 2013 at 23:50 #

Exactly. She will wear those clothes until nobody cares anymore

  3. Charlotte November 10, 2013 at 20:16 #

Nothing shocking here. It’s just vulgar and it looks so desperate, it’s ridiculous !

    • Yeliz November 11, 2013 at 17:35 #

I agree as well. This is SO bad.

    • Francois Bresmal November 15, 2013 at 21:02 #

Desperate is the word… She looks dirty! And OMG FC, you made me cry with the “please see the back; what little of it there is”! So hilarious 😀 😀

  4. Nat39 November 10, 2013 at 20:18 #

    Cheap, confusing and plain ridiculous.

    • julyol1972 November 11, 2013 at 08:25 #

I know they’re dead, but there seems to be something infinitely wrong with having Biggie and Tupac’s face on her rear end.

With Millie it just always seems to be one step forward and twelve back. SMH!

I like the earring, which I’m sure it’s by Delfina Delettrez (if it’s not it’s an imitation).

Miley can do very little wrong for me! I love this look although it could’ve been a little longer and maybe she could find another event for it. I don’t really feel the boots but I reckon the dress has a very beautiful message, that I absolutely love! Very much expected and therefore, very little provocative.

  7. pinksugar November 10, 2013 at 20:27 #

The back of her…we’ll call it a dress sums up my feelings perfectly. “Please Stop”.

    • Mandy November 10, 2013 at 23:37 #

Haha yes. Its a very desperate look, she needs to tone it down. Her ‘edgy’ looks are getting extremely stale and repetitive.

  8. Kat November 10, 2013 at 21:03 #

    Gross. Come on now.

  9. Kiran November 10, 2013 at 21:12 #

I find her new thug persona particularly amusing considering a a few years ago she didn’t even know a Jay-Z song. Someone needs to tell her that the 90’s Bronx hooker look has been done a thousand times before and much better.

    • andrea November 11, 2013 at 19:18 #

Kiran, you are so right about that!! I remember when she gave an interview about “Party in the USA” and when asked about her fave JayZ song she said she didnt even listen to him. GOOD CALL!!!!

    hate the hair
    hate the outfit

  11. Natalie November 10, 2013 at 22:19 #

    Annoying and gross, as usual.

  12. CreoleLady November 10, 2013 at 22:24 #

So Hannah Montana is wearing dead African-American rappers after dressing African-American women in plush toys to be her back-up dancers. I have quite a bit I could say about this look and her recent stylings but find that one word sums it up — trash.

  13. Joy November 10, 2013 at 22:27 #

Would she just go away already. I don’t want to even comment because that’s all she wants, to shock us all. She is gross & makes Lil Kim of the olden days seem like a saint.

  14. Malinda Jane November 11, 2013 at 00:04 #

Her style is so deliberately tacky and so pandering in her attempts to shock people. It’s really contrived and calculated, despite what she may have to say about it.
I couldn’t be more bored by this whole “era” of her style. So cheap and embarrassing.

Isn’t it great when white teens turn to elements of black culture when they wanna be bad and rebellious? Pathetic.

    • Denise November 11, 2013 at 07:26 #

      Very good point here.

    • Liz November 12, 2013 at 01:02 #

I’m black and I don’t agree with your statement. She’s like 20 years old. Experimenting and finding new ways of expressing yourself is what you do at that age. Plus, just because she spent like 10 years under Disney’s strict rules/regulations, doesn’t mean that’s who she really was.

  16. Jojo November 11, 2013 at 00:28 #

“it has been hoochiefied for our entertainment”

    I lol’d at this, hahaha!

  17. Kathy November 11, 2013 at 01:31 #

What an eyesore. If she was trying to make a statement, she failed desperately.

  18. Markness November 11, 2013 at 07:12 #

Hi FC! Please don’t post the performance outfit. I’m not liking it. It’s borderline pathetic. I mean I love her music but what she’s doing, even if for publicity, is just wrong. I wish she would go to a perfect mix of sexy but still classy. 😐

  19. Jess2 November 11, 2013 at 15:55 #

    Definitely predictable, definitely terrible.

  20. Alina November 11, 2013 at 17:14 #

It’s just what I’ve come to expect from her – tacky and ridiculous.

  21. anonymous as always November 11, 2013 at 20:02 #

I am facepalming… This event should get a Worst Dressed poll.

  22. jokebetweenthetrees November 11, 2013 at 21:12 #

Such a shame. Those beautifull boots. Why are they not worn with a marvelous outfit by a nice person.

  23. Liz November 12, 2013 at 00:59 #

I actually LOVE this. It’s event appropriate and she looks hot!

  24. amy November 12, 2013 at 11:46 #

tacky and ridiculous. I can’t believe this is the girl who used to rock Pucci. this look is so dated it hurts
