Astrid Berges-Frisbey In Chanel Couture – ‘Only God Forgives’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Astrid Berges-Frisbey In Chanel Couture - 'Only God Forgives' Cannes Film Festival Premiere

We haven’t seen many above the knee dresses this Cannes Film Festival, however, Astrid Berges-Frisbey decided to buck the trend whilst attending the ‘Only God Forgives’ premiere at the Palais des Festivals this evening.

The French actress, who pretty much exclusively wears Chanel, wore a look from the brand’s Spring 2013 Couture collection.

Her white off-the-shoulder dress with a black lace overlay was styled with a red Chanel ‘Lego’ clutch, which has been a hit with celebrities since it was presented in the Spring 2013 ready-to-wear collection.

Chanel jewels and a matte red lip completed her look.

Does anyone else think that this would’ve been prettier as a gown?

This dress is really cute, and I like the shoes and pop of red. But her hair is a mess and it overall is too casual for the occasion.

    I’m confused…what makes this “couture”?

  • Cute on Astrid! I like the whole look on her. I don’t like the style on the model.

  • Alicat

Her styling is infinitely better than the grungy looking model. I think she looks very chic in a pretty, prim sort of way. I actually like the shoes and the pop of colour from her clutch and lips.

  • Christine

I like this look actually. Not bad.

  • Reez

    cute dress, wrong shoes

I wonder why it would be ‘appropriate’ to wear a gown to a film premiere (I mean think about it), but I guess because everybody does it… it’s probably not enough. Nice look though.

  • Yeliz

It would’ve indeed look good as a gown and although this is way underwhelming for Cannes, she looks pretty good. I love her styling.

      +1

It is a beautiful dress, but a gown would have been more appropriate. This dress would look good as a gown.
