Rooney Mara In Vera Wang – ‘For The Love Of Cinema’ Event

Rooney Mara In Vera Wang - ‘For The Love Of Cinema’ Event

Rooney Mara wore yet another bi-colour look while attending the ‘For The Love Of Cinema’ event hosted by Swiss luxury watch manufacturer IWC Schaffhausen at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes, France on Sunday alongside Naomi Watts and Karolina Kurkova.

The actress wore a Vera Wang Fall 2013 black-and-stone layered look with a charcoal bralet overlay, which she styled with Brian Atwood ‘Aida’ sandals.

It’s an interesting look which is strangely simple and complex at the same time.

I always find the berry lip colour so harsh on Rooney. I wish she would consider different options, much like her dress colours on the red carpet.

At this point, I would have a heart attack if she wore pink, for example.

I REALLY dislike the dress. It’s an odd unflattering mess. And her styling is harsh and tired.

I like the dress itself, but on her it is just so predictable and boring. The hairstyle and dark, matte lipstick is extremely harsh and unflattering.

I actually like the dress and I might even like it on Rooney if she’d lose that deer-in-the-headlights look.

I can’t believe I’m saying this but I like it, h2t. I must need to have my head examined.

I really like this dress–it is so imaginative. I love the band across the bodice and the shape of the sides with the underdress and overdress forming pockets–very interesting and sculptural. You have to be flat and thin like she is to wear this. My complaint with her is the severity of her hair and makeup, tho it works with this dress. A smile would be welcome.

Another day, another B&W outfit from Rooney Mara. This one is better than some of the previous ones, but that sash/band is hitting in an awful spot. It would have been better down at her waist.

Yes. The position of the sash bothers me too.

It is black and white again, but a standout one for me. I love the berry lip too, she looks otherworldly in a way, a good way, slightly alien……

+1 she looks out of this world

Not too crazy about the shoes, I actually find myself liking this (it’s not really white–yes, this is how far it’s come with Rooney, haha)

I like this but it would be nice to see her in some other colors besides black and white.

I don’t like the bralet overlay. Actually, the only thing I really like about this look are the shoes.

+1. That cover made me chuckle 😀 she looks okay, same as her other appearances!
And FC, even if I try, I cannot imagine her in any color, she will not be she 😀

Yet another black-and-white(ish) look from her, it´s getting too repetitive. But this one is working well, better than her previous, she looks comfortable anfd polished. Her slicked back hair and deep lip colour work perfectly with the look.
