Dan Stevens was in attendance, and looking drastically different, at the 24th annual GLAAD Media Awards in New York City on Saturday night.
The British actor is known for his character Matthew Crawley on the hit PBS and ITV series ‘Downton Abbey’. His character sported blonde locks, a side part, and a much rounder figure. This weight loss and hairstyle transformation is said to be for a new role.
Looking much more trim, he opted for a Calvin Klein dark grey, one-button suit with notch lapels from the spring 2013 collection designed by Italo Zucchelli. Under the wool suit, Dan wore a black shirt and black skinny tie from the same Calvin Klein collection.
With his new svelte look he nailed the proportions with a thin lapel over the skinny collar and tie.

It’s a drastic transformation, and he looks poised, confident and comfortable with it, works for me.
It’s a good look but I can’t get over how much his forehead & hairstyle look like Sean Penn’s. I liked the way it was styled before on the show.
Love the suit but he himself looks a bit sickly to me. Maybe he’s realizing that leaving Downton Abbey was the worst mistake of.his.life!

He looks very dapper indeed, a possible BDOTW vote from me. Though it doesn’t make me swoon, but I guess just like with Eddie Redmayne the problem’s entirely on my side, as I have a preference for more plump/muscular men figures.

Looks a bit gaunt. His eyes are quite piercing. The suit’s OK. It reminds me of one Nicholas Hoult wore a few weeks ago. In fact, in the thumbnail size, I thought this was Nick at first.
