Pace Wu, who had an amazing week during Paris Fashion Week, was back in Beijing, China yesterday attending a press conference for her latest movie, ‘A Wedding Invitation’.
Giving us our second Christopher Kane look of the day, this stunning creation hails from the Spring 2013 collection.
This ultra-feminine lace-and-crystal-appliquéd silk-organza dress from the edgy London-based designer, which was my favourite piece from the collection, has a twist with bold black panels.
Pace Wu was right to wear her hair back and opt for minimal makeup, but I am slightly crestfallen by her choice of shoes.
The spiked fuchsia-pink peep-toes look like something out of Coco from Ice Loves Coco’s closet.
They have no business being near this dress. I would take white or even black pumps over these heels.
Are the shoes a deal breaker for you?

Haha for the description, but I don’t mind the show unless I see a magnified image of it
She is looking gorgeous as always. Love the dress.
A big no to the shoes. They look SO out of place. She looks beautiful from the ankles up.
I don’t mind the shoe in this picture, but I might if I saw a close-up (not asking you to add one, just saying that as it is, I don’t mind the shoe).
I can’t really see the shoes but I love this dress.
I prefer those to the daffodils, I dont mind them that much
she’s a fashion goddess
Gorgeous.
the shoes look fine with the dress.. she’s lovely
The dress is interesting and original, and working beautifully on her figure. The shoes maynot be the perfect choice but they do not ruin the look either. So it’s still thumbs up from me.
I think the shoes enhance the already edgy look.
I kind of secretly love them.
I love this dress and think it looks great on her. From a distance the shoes don’t look so bad, although I think a black sandal would have been much better.
great dress!! love it
about the shoes , on the pic they don’t look that bad but in reality it might be too much
It could be much worse if she had worn the daffodil pumps
I kinda like these shoes actually. They seem fun & flirty, like the dress and Pace looks absolutely beautiful.
So feminine and elegant! And I’m loving the hair.
This is the most beautiful dress.
The electric tape, Frankenstein inspiration of this collection didn’t really work for me. The dress is just OK, then, I love her hair and the shoes are a little incongruous.
Although they sound horrid from the description I can’t see enough of the shoes to stop me thinking she looks great in this classic-made-edgy dress.
the dress has me drooling right now. but even my first thought about the shoes were, “why?oh, why?”. but i’m just mesemerized by the dress so no more tears about the shoes and yes she looks beautiful from the ankles up of course.
