‘Girl Rising’ is an inspiring film which tells the true stories of nine girls from nine different countries who are doing their part to fight for a chance to have an education.
Allison Williams showed her support for the film by attending the premiere held at the Paris Theatre in New York City yesterday evening.
Keeping her look simple yet chic the actress wore a Christian Dior Spring 2013 strapless dress.
Her double-breasted tuxedo dress with mini lapels and side pockets was styled with Van Cleef & Arpels jewels and black Dior pumps.
We all know that Allison has the most enviable tresses, but I love that she opted to style her hair into a chic center-parted updo for a refreshing change.

Nice and simple.
+1 love it.
Lovely!
She always looks nice, but there’s just nothing I find even remotely interesting or exciting about her style. Everything is so safe.
I also don’t think it helps that she seems to have lost a lot of weight in the past year. She used to look so healthy, but now she’s just boney.
I like her hair up with this but I don’t like the part. She looks cute, but stiff.
Agree on all points.
About the stiffness, this reminds me a bit of Jennifer Lawrence. She and Allison are not exactly the same type, mind you, but both are young and perhaps not “right” for Dior. Even when they look nice in a Dior outfit, they may not appear comfortable, as if they were wearing someone else’s clothes.
There’s something about this girl and her style that’s incredibly generic.
Don’t get me wrong, she looks lovely as always, but I loved it better on Belgian supermodel Hannelore Knuts at a Belgian music awards show a few months ago… Her funky haircut and colourful shoes were much more complimentary to the dress.
She looks beautiful, as always!
she’s starting to look a bit of a bobblehead. very very thin.
+1
She looks nice but I am not wowed.
She does look beautiful, but the dress isn’t really well fitted.
She looks nice but there is something missing in this look. She under accessorized it
She looks very pretty, love the tuxedo twist on the dress. I just wish she had added a clutch and brighter shoes.
Another case of someone being so thin, that I can’t get passed it to actually view the look. It’s just disturbing.
I love that you bring attention to the film as well!! And Allison looks lovely as always. Happy International Women’s Day!
Outstanding film! Made it to the local viewing just in time after reading this post. Thank you for the heads up!
