It may be possible that Stana Katic got a heads up on the colour scheme prior to taking to the pink carpet at Santa Monica Beach, California, for the 2013 Independent Spirit Awards this afternoon.
The ‘Castle’ actress gun and badge was traded in for a pink Donna Karan Resort 2013 jumpsuit.
Her silk jumpsuit with a plunging neckline was styled with a gold Jill Milan ’450 Sutter’ clutch, and pewter strappy sandals.
A fishtail braid with fresh neutral makeup completed her beautiful look.

Beautiful colour and the length of the pants are perfect, but the top doesn’t translate well on her.
I agree, I love the color and her hair/makeup but the top is a little too Blanche Devereaux (a la Golden Girls) for me.

I don’t like the hairstyle, and I don’t like the jumpsuit at all. The color would be fun in a dress, but on a pant suit, it’s making me think of bright ’80s “power suits.” Not a good look. Plus, I don’t like the plunge neck.

I’m not compltely in love with the jumpsuit but I think it looks better on Stana than it does on the model and her styling is definitely better. She looks gorgeous.
