Nieves Alvarez’s M.O. for Sola Moda this season appears to be sticking to one designer during the show.
On Saturday, she exclusively wore pieces from David Delfin’s Spring 2013 collection.
First up was a white sheath dress decorated with multi-coloured crystals, which she styled with bi-colour Christian Louboutin Arnoeud ankle boots with a cute bow accent. I love the pieces separately, but not together as the boots feel too weighty against the dress.
As you know, I love jumpsuits, but I’m not sure this David Delfin piece is something I would wear. Alvarez, on the other hand, is working the hell out of this biker-inspired piece with multiple zippers. I also love her embellished Louboutins with this look.
Christian Louboutin ‘Summerissima’ sandals were perfectly colour co-ordinated to her David Delfin red-and-white trompe l’oeil dress.
On Sunday, the host let her hair down to don two Gucci Resort 2013 looks.
Nieves shows Nicole Kidman how to make lemon-yellow work, wearing a fresh, elegant Gucci shift dress which truly embodies retro glamour. I love the opulent floral embroidery and the complementary Gucci sandals. I think this is my favourite look.
Her final look, which we’ve seen on Li Binbing was a rust leopard silk jacquard keyhole blouse with matching pants. This look I would wear in a heartbeat. It’s so simple, yet achingly chic. This woman never has a bad day, style-wise. I lust after her Marina Rinaldi gold sandals as I do for her Gucci ensemble.
Each look was styled with Bulgari jewels.

That white dress was one of the few looks I liked of davidelfin’s spring13. My favorite look is the Gucci jumpsuit. The shoes are fantastic, I need to put her stylist, Víctor blanco, in my life.

I actually really like the jumpsuit–maybe it is just my fantasy that i could ever wear anything like that, but she looks so hot in it and I love the lady-like shoes with it–my only complaint is that it would have looked better with edgier hair.

I like the Delfin dress but not the ankle boots paired with it, she’s owning the jumpsuit even if it’s wouldn’t be my first choice. She looks really great in both Gucci looks.
I only like the first dress, but not the booties with it. The rest isn’t working for me.
I am in love with most of the shoes.
Don’t like any of day 1 dresses, they look really cheap, and that jumpsuit is horrendous. Day 2 silk pajama is good, but I’m not a fan of any animal prints, i would prefer it in bronze print-free version
