I was very excited when I discovered that Jennifer Lopez was one of the presenters for the 2013 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday night.
I wasn’t surprised to learn that she wore a Zuhair Murad gown with Pomellato jewels, but I was surprised that I didn’t love it.
In fact, I’m not sure if I even like this long-sleeve ivory embroidered lace gown with beaded details from the designer’s Spring 2013 collection.
Mostly because it feels too nude and, secondly, I feel like she’s worn similar pieces by the designer in the past, most recently on her tour.
Jlo’s hair and makeup are flawless, as expected.

I certainly agree that she’s worn at 2 similar dresses in the recent past.
I guess the dress is fine…nothing special but on the bright side, at least she didn’t do the prom hair that is sometimes typical of J.Lo at formal events.

Love her makeup. Flawless as usual.
I am so done with this type of look. She has done this formula of nude bodysuit/dress with white detailing that I just want to scream (Wetten Dass, Dance Again Tour, Oscars 2012…) This look is styled well, but. It adds no excitement or drama, she’s too predictable.

Agreed definitely feels too nude (even more so the side view) and we’ve certainly seen this look before.
I just saw her presenting and it looked very costumey and nude on stage, and dare I say desperate. She needs to stop her love affair with nude/lace-overlay/skintight dresses for a while. It looked tasteless to me, disappointing as she is very beautiful.
My thoughts exactly! I think she looks so much better when she errs on the side of classy versus desperate for attention flashy.

I liked it! It’s quite revealing with the skin tone shade but she pulls it off and it looks classy..
I tend to like the dress in the lookbook picture set against the background and the parquet flooring. On Jennifer quite frankly I find it a bit tacky in combination with her curves (sorry).

Zuhair Murad is always on the verge of tacky, and this time he crossed the line. I can’t help but think of his creations as the poor man’s Elie Saab and this is why, this looks old fashioned and heavy and overworked.
I kind of saw this coming and it is nothing new. It just feels like she wore a longer more lined version of something from her tour. Her hair and makeup is right on point though.

I didn’t like it either. It’s a pretty dress, but I think It could have been jaw droping in someone taller and slimmer.

Love her side swept glossy waves and flawless makeup!! Definitely BDOTW Contender, and so what’s wrong to wear sheer body-hugging gown when you have the curves like J-Lo!!
I love this dress on her. I think this is the second best dress on the red carpet on Sunday.

Way too dowdy and bridal for such a pretty sexy girl. She has ruled other Murad dresses though.
