Eva Longoria In Emilio Pucci – 2013 Golden Globe Awards

Eva Longoria in Emilio Pucci - 2013 Golden Globe AwardsEva Longoria made a rather dramatic entrance at the 2013 Golden Globe Awards at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California.

She wore an intense black Emilio Pucci, custom-designed for her, paired with Martin Katz jewels.

The dress with its lacy bodice and chiffon-layered skirt flaunted all of her curves, what with its provocatively placed slit in the front, a cutout in back and a nearly hip-high slit at the side. Here we had another “Angelina Jolie” leg moment.

However, even with all that skin, the overall effect still seemed a bit dark and heavy.

An updo with bouffant-style volume finished this look with even more drama.

i agree… there’s something about this dress… this look that is still quite dark and heavy. The top half of the dress, the lace section is a little strange to me… I think it’s the key hole in the front and backless feature… it’s a little too much. And overall.. she does look quite short in this dress…

I say there is too much going on…..either ditch the keyhole…or make the slit shorter…..something feels “not right” to me

That split can’t get any higher. Wow.

  4. Molly January 14, 2013 at 03:26 #

Oh look, its Eva Longoria in a revealing gown. How original.

+1 OMG tell me about it. It’s dark, heavy and done to DEATH by her. And DO NOT get me started on that bouffant. Hot, overworked mess.

Such a huge no for this look. Just. No.

  6. Marybeth January 14, 2013 at 03:38 #

Waaaay too much going on here.
(Compare this to Katherine McPhee’s sexy-black look!)
I think we can put Eva’s picture in the dictionary under the heading OVERKILL.

      lol. But so true.

    • Cindy January 14, 2013 at 04:20 #

I was going to say she’s trying too hard. But I guess trying too hard= OVERKILL

    • Beta January 14, 2013 at 08:51 #

      totally OVERKILL!

    Eva, Queen of the Night…

  8. Alex January 14, 2013 at 04:14 #

So dated and she has worn this style so many times.
    It looks cheap.

  9. Lena January 14, 2013 at 04:17 #

Tacky dress for a tacky woman.

  10. TeaAtTwo January 14, 2013 at 04:18 #

I like the lace print but she looks to have a weirdly short torso and the slit the skirt look cheap.

She is showing too much skin
    I don´t like it

    • EmmaWoodhouse January 14, 2013 at 04:47 #

Me neither. It’s trashy, yet at the same time matronly and overdone. A very unappealing look.

    • Rashmi January 14, 2013 at 06:06 #

      +1. Its cheap!
And c’mon get over that pose please!!!

      • Lee January 14, 2013 at 17:04 #

I agree… way to much skin on show. It always appears like she’s trying too hard.

  12. Rebecca Z January 14, 2013 at 04:49 #

Dreadful. She is so pretty and makes so many bad fashion decisions.

I thought I liked this for an Eva look. On television it seemed to work a lot better but that first photo isn’t good. On the one hand this dress gives Eva the illusion of the in-and-out figure she doesn’t have but in that photo she does look short (well she is but you know shorter than she can look).

  14. Yeliz January 14, 2013 at 07:14 #

A keyhole, an open back and a hip-high slit is TOO MUCH. Can’t believe this is custom-made. I don’t like it at all.

  15. justme January 14, 2013 at 07:57 #

Is Ken Paves responsible for her hair? -sigh-

Eva has small boobs so she can get away with big keyholes in the front and the back. But the hip-high slit was the step too far.

Eventhough i think it’s a little too much and not that appropriate for Golden Globes I really like it.And yes,i agree that she was too dark.

  17. carolina roq January 14, 2013 at 09:59 #

atention seeker. why she still appears in these awards is beyond my comprehension. She is very short so she puts all her hair up to look taller.

  18. Ysatis January 14, 2013 at 12:18 #

Yep too much going on and if she keeps caking on the makeup she’ll end up looking like Christina Aguilera.

  19. Tracy L January 14, 2013 at 13:23 #

I agree-way too much going on. So sexy (not in a good way) and still somehow aging. A miss.

  20. Anne January 14, 2013 at 13:50 #

Her red carpet posing made Lea Michelle look like a demure, camera-shy little flower. Just… no.

  21. Jess2 January 14, 2013 at 15:13 #

Oversized keyhole details appear to be all the rage right now. Can’t say I am loving it here because there is just too much skin exposure going on with the leg and back aswell.
I don’t know why these ladies keep trying to bring back the Angelina. It died people, leave it alone!
