Emma Stone In Daniel Vosovic – Revlon’s Nearly Naked Makeup Launch

Emma Stone stepped out in Manhattan on Wednesday for the launch of Revlon’s new ‘Nearly Naked’ Makeup at the London Hotel.

Wearing a silk gray-and-bone Fall 2012 design from ‘Project Runway’ alum Daniel Vosovic and Jamie Wolf’s 18k-gold lattice earrings, Emma dangerously toed the line between blah and best-dressed.

It’s tough to pull off washed out tones for the pale-skinned Revlon ambassador, made all the harder by Emma’s decision to keep her hair its natural blonde since last summer’s Spiderman reboot. And yet the 24-year-old New Yorker completely carries the raglan-sleeved ensemble.

Perhaps it’s her peachy point-toe Rupert Sanderson heels (popular in Hollywood at the moment); maybe it’s the vampish manicure and dark-lined eyes that add a bit of edge; or it could be Emma’s unwavering confidence.

All I know is that somehow, this works.

Have you any idea how Emma managed this magic trick?

I’m totally in love with this look. Whoever thought of adding the peach-colored shoes is a genius, they light everything up and stop the look from being too boring, imo. I just adore this.

+1. Exactly, those shoes were a genius stroke.
I think the shoes and plus her personality makes the whole lot of difference.

+2. Those shoes are a great addition.

      very original

She’s beautiful here. I think the make up and the nail polish are just what the ensemble needed.
I prefer her in red though.

  4. TL December 6, 2012 at 12:38 #

She looks ok, far from her best look though. Her legs catch my eye cause they are super skinny.

  5. SilentVisitor December 6, 2012 at 12:55 #

Well she looks good but what I caught my attention is the fact that Bella and Emma are wearing the same shoes and not even in different color…….

    • Jess2 December 6, 2012 at 13:39 #

I noticed that also, love those shoes!

    • TeaAtTwo December 6, 2012 at 14:10 #

      Ha, I noticed that too.

Oh how I have missed Emma on the RC! Once again she is absolutely gorgeous and flawless! I don’t know how she does it either, but she never disappoints! Love this from head to toe!

My thoughts exactly! It’s the shoes – without those, it would be blah – and secondly, the nail polish. She knows how to pull a look together. She looks beautiful.

LOVE IT. FC perfectly dissected why this look works:

    peac pumps and black nails.

    • Rebecca Z December 6, 2012 at 16:24 #

Her natural beautify those spectacular eyes don’t hurt either. She looks fabulous.

      • Rebecca Z December 6, 2012 at 16:24 #

That should be “natural beauty and those”

  9. Sara December 6, 2012 at 16:16 #

Love it! Agree, the shoes & nails prevent the look from being too one note. I also really appreciate how she’s not doing the hand on hips pose.

  10. katie December 6, 2012 at 16:35 #

Emma looks gorgeous yip her shoes make the ensemble

This is the one occasion where I think nude shoes would have gone better. That said, I love the cut of this dress. Daniel must have died to know that Emma’s stylist pulled one of his pieces – and she actually wore it!!! Emma just put Daniel on the map for sure.

I ADORE this. Her HAIR is color-coordinating with the rest of her outfit? Up for BDOTW please!!!

  13. Yeliz December 6, 2012 at 18:33 #

LOVE it. Everything about it. She is a BDOTW contender for me.

the shoes take this look to a whole new level. I love it, it’s soft, young, and easy on the eyes. Well done!

  15. Jones19 December 6, 2012 at 19:14 #

LOVE this look. And FYI her hair is blonde now because she’s shooting Amazing Spiderman 2.

reminds me I need to keep up with my movie news as much as Style.com 😀

WOW. Amazing, as usual–I do love her red hair but she carries the blonde well too. As for how she pulled of this super chic yet tricky look? I think it’s because 1) she’s fabulously confident 2) she picked the right “washed out” tones for her skin color (kind of like differen skin tones need different shades of white for wedding dresses) and 3) she jazzed it up with a slightly unexpected shoe. Nude would have bored here; something too bright might have been too much contrast. She did a good job matching her lip to it too!
Overall I think this is so well done that it deserves a BDOTW slot.
