Amanda Seyfried In Marios Schwab – ‘Les Misérables’ Screening After Party

Amanda Seyfried joined her co-star Anne Hathaway at the ‘Les Misérables’ screening after party held at Porterhouse in New York City on Sunday evening.

The blonde actress, who isn’t a stranger to Marios Schwab designs, wore a look from the London designer’s Spring 2012 collection.

Her pretty lavender dress, with an embroidered net detail on the bodice and waist, was styled with nude Rupert Sanderson peep-toes and a gold bracelet.

Glossy pink lips and a simple ponytail completed her look.

It’s interesting how we’ve seen more pieces from Marios Schwab’s Spring 2012 collection in recent months – championed by Naomie Harris – than we have from his following Fall 2012, Resort 2013 and Spring 2013 collections.

Anne and Amanda will be in the UK tomorrow evening for the London premiere of ‘Les Misérables’.

    I totally agree!

I think the appeal of this dress is in the sheerness in the neck and cleavage as shown on the runway. Seyfried’s version looks quilted and edgeless. The longer hemline isn’t helping either.

A lovely dress. But, oh for some colorful shoes to punch it up!

i totally dislike this dress on her and bad styling

I believe that amanda is rocking this promo tour much better than anne!

This is my favorite Schwab in a loooong time.

His creations are usually ugly on the runway and red carpet with a few great exceptions, but this is lovely.

Yeah I’ve been disappointed with him of late but this is just fabulous. Also she’s been wearing some crazy stuff lately so this is a welcome reprieve! I find my eyes drawn to this lovely dress.

Let me disagree with you both. I believe Marios, Christopher Kane and a few others (not more than a couple) are some of the few designers in London that are actually doing interesting and timeless dresses that can be worn and kept for long (you might actually notice that old season dresses from these two designers are being seen in red carpet lately, like this dress that Amanda is wearing). To be honest, I am not sure what all the buzz around London is about, every time I come to see shows, it’s more of the same thing (over and over): flower laces dresses, pointless printed dresses that can be fun to look at (once, but no more please!), and edgy for the sake of being edgy. Please don’t get me wrong, I love London Fashion Week, but there is no innovation these days. I pray to be seeing more freshness this AW13, God knows!

I think she looks pretty in this dress.
I think his S/S 13 collection was bit edgier using less red carpet friendly materials but of course they can be adapted for production. His sweater and pleated skirts were cool.
