Raquel Sánchez Silva joined Nieves Alvarez on the red carpet yesterday evening for the Vogue & Mario Testino December Issue launch event held at the Fernán Núñez Palace in Madrid, Spain.
She also wore a cocktail dress, selecting a shimmering gold frock with a textured top and lamé skirt from the Oscar de la Renta Fall 2012 collection.
The dress is gorgeous, but I think she overdid it just a tad with the gold glitter accessories.
A gold Jimmy Choo ‘Candy’ clutch, gold Jimmy Choo ‘Private’ sandals and gold Oscar de la Renta statement earrings completed the look.
The shoes are ok, but the clutch and earrings were two steps too far.

She way overdid it with the gold accessories – the shoes complement the dress well but the clutch and more so the earrings are jarring and overpowering. The style of the dress feels a bit too young for her.
Too bad, but yeah, I agree.
Gorgeous dress, horrible earrings. She really overdid it.
She really did. Too much can be tacky.
I love this! I don’t know, I just fell in love with those earrings. I wouldn’t mind at all if this showed up in the BDOTW poll.
+1 LOVE
The earrings and the shoes don’t work with the rest of the outfit.
The Earrings are Oscar De La Renta, too!
thanks
I think everything works except those earrings. They were truly unnecessary.
Pretty dress tho nothing all that interesting or special. The shoes look really wrong to me and not a fan of the earrings either.
SO CLOSE. The dress is gorgeous, and if she’d just taken off those super tacky earrings and chosen the lovely clutch in a lighter shade (to match the shoes) we’d have a BDOTW worthy look on our hands. I love the dress so much–I can ALMOST overlook those earrings…but not quite.
Pretty, but I hate the shoes, and I almost never dislike a Choo.
Great dress, good shoes but I agree that the clutch and earrings are too much.
