Cate Blanchett attended Elle’s 19th Annual Women in Hollywood celebration, which was held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills, California, yesterday evening.
The Australian actress wore a Proenza Schouler Spring 2013 dress to the Calvin Klein sponsored event – our first look from this collection on the red carpet.
Her multi-coloured print dress with fitted waist, blue dotted details on the bodice and grommet details along the hem of the skirt was styled with conservative accessories.
They included Roger Vivier bow-accented pumps and a black box clutch.
A simple updo completed her much-improved-from-her-last-outing look.

If it weren’t for the ugly shoes, that would’ve been fantastic
+1.
Love with the look ankles up.
What Rash said.
I agree. everything but the shoes. Too bad, the dress is amazing!
Obviously Cate is looking for a new direction after the depart from Armani (such shame…) I don’t which designer can help Cate stand out but I think Giambattista Valli may be a good choice.
I don’t even want to say this out loud, but from her last few outings, it seems The Queen could be loosing her spark. I most truly hope not
Cate is a goddess. Loved the dress and the hairdo.
I like it from the ankles up.
those shoes really ruin the outfit, unfortunately.
+1 for me too
Completely…ruin
Ugh, those shoes, frumpifying the look. But hair, color, pattern and fit give me hope.
I adore the dress n her, this is so much more beautiful than what I have sadly become accustomed to, but the shoes are awful, and really unflattering. The Roger Vivier clutch I find more acceptable, but not an ideal choice.
Great figure, stunning make up, and I think blue is a great colour on her. The shoes are unfortunately not so flattering.
+1!
I like everything but the shoes.
The shoes really weigh this down. She looks OK. Not amazing – just OK, but when you look at the shoes, it really throws you off.
The colour of her eyes really stand out, so beautiful. I love this look from the ankles up!
Add me to the list of people who love this from the ankles up.
Yep, me too.
The regal poise,that face…pure gorgeousness!!!
Has Cate lost her red carpet mojo? I have pretty much disliked her looks for as long as I can remember. I really liked the color and fit of this dress on her, but the shoes just ruin it for me.
great dress! shame about the shoes.
Who cares about the shoes when the dress and hair are that lovely? This is a dress I wouldn’t like on anyone else, and while the shoes are a downer, it doesn’t negate the fabulousness of the rest of her look.
perfect dress, boring shoes…unfortunately!
She working the stunning dress with the grace most of us love from her but the accessories are awful choice for the outfit.
She is so beautiful that any dress she wears always look amazing. BDOTW worthy for me.
BDOTW-worthy for me–despite the boring shoes, Queen Cate has returned, looking oh-so-regal. I love it!
