After a long absence from the red carpet, Cate Blanchett hit the red carpet at the 2012 Helpmann Awards in Sydney, Australia, last week.
The actress wore an LBD from the Fendi Fall 2012 collection.
Between the waxy-looking balloon sleeves and the suffocating neckline, I can’t say this is Cate’s finest hour.
A black leather clutch and black round-toe pumps completed this instantly forgettable look.
I just wish Cate would find her way back to Armani. It’s the place where she was at her happiest.

I don’t like anything about this look on Cate.
This is just OK. Nothing special.
Not her finest look
She’s hopefully going to be done the promotional tour for ‘The Hobbit’, so I am hoping Armani Prive, Givenchy Couture and Rodarte are on her speed-dial.
She is so beautiful, even in a simple black dress.
I don’t like this at all.
By miles she is the biggest disappointment of the year, 2012 has been absolutely dreadful for Cate. I’m pretty sure I could name all of her fabulous outfits of 2011, this year has been drab, and with bad shoes. To put it simply, I no longer feel that she deserves to be called Queen Cate. I am praying for a swift recovery for the Hobbit promo tour. If she comes back around, she could own BDOTY.
