Emilia Clarke In Chanel – 2012 Emmy Awards

Emilia Clarke may be one of the red carpet’s lesser-known stars, but after her appearance at the 2012 Emmy Awards that will change very quickly.

The ‘Game of Thrones’ actress looked gorgeous wearing a white Chanel dress with purple floral embroidery from the Resort 2013.

Nude pointed pumps and Chanel jewels complete the look.

Emilia was easily one of the best on the night. I love that Chanel continues to take notice of up-and-coming actresses.

she wears this dress so well! and it’s a gorgeous dress. i just can’t stop wondering how much better it would look if she paired it with purple strappy sandals or a purple version of the heels she is wearing

My favorite look of the night!

  3. ash September 24, 2012 at 19:06 #

I love it. From that photo, she looks like she belongs in Cannes.

  4. Ritika September 24, 2012 at 18:49 #

Her feathered skirt Chanel remains one of my favourite looks ever, and this look is pretty neat too.

  5. lu September 24, 2012 at 16:37 #

the shoes are borring but I love everything else.

  6. Agathe September 24, 2012 at 16:29 #

With different shoes (purple pumps?) she would have been one of my best-dressed of the night, but the level of the competition makes it hard for me to forgive her in this case.

  7. Jones19 September 24, 2012 at 15:08 #

One of my favorites of the night. Stunning!

  8. Sabina September 24, 2012 at 15:01 #

    So fresh and cute!

  9. Nat September 24, 2012 at 13:58 #

I don’t dislike this, but I fear she might be a little too short for this dress: I prefer the lenght on the model.
And I don’t like the shoes, at all.

  10. Chloe September 24, 2012 at 13:28 #

Absolutely agree with the shoe comments, they are too casual. Very much work shoes, not Emmys shoes! Thought FC would hate them. Love the dress though!

  11. justme September 24, 2012 at 12:53 #

All she needed was purple heels to get into my top 5. She looks gorgeous nonetheless.

Not necessarily one of my favourite of the nights but she does look lovely. The nude pumps however I find a little jarring with the white.

I love Emilia, she has such a beautiful face. And she looks fabulous here. She is one of the best dressed of the night for me too.

This is so lovely and chic and fashion-forward.

  18. Noemi September 24, 2012 at 09:12 #

The dress looks better on her than on the model. I’m not sure about the nude pumps, but she looks great. It’s one of my favorite look of the night. Chanel and red carpets are always a great match.

WOW, beautiful! cant wait for the Golden globes and Oscar then

  23. Dhppy September 24, 2012 at 05:37 #

The shoes look beige and out of place.

  24. Marybeth September 24, 2012 at 05:10 #

Emilia looks lovely, but personally I’m not crazy about the dress. Maybe the peasant-milkmaid look just doesn’t work for me as evening wear. 😉

And then there are the shoes. They’re not awful but they don’t do anything to complement the dress. They are so daytimey.

    I don’t know.

    • Nat39 September 24, 2012 at 17:34 #

I think you said it perfectly. The whole thing feels a bit peasant-milkmaid/daytimey for this event, agree completely.

  25. Jen September 24, 2012 at 04:59 #

She looks beautiful and the dress looks much better on her than the model.

  26. Sarah September 24, 2012 at 04:58 #

I love this. Shutting it down

  27. Odette September 24, 2012 at 04:16 #

    Emilia is PERFECTION. J’adore.

  28. Megan September 24, 2012 at 03:49 #

She looks stunning! can’t flaw the look

  29. anna September 24, 2012 at 03:39 #

She looks great in a very difficult dress to pull off.

  30. rebecca o September 24, 2012 at 03:35 #

She looks very pretty. I love the dress.

  31. Cindy September 24, 2012 at 03:17 #

    Oh my…love it!

  32. Saree September 24, 2012 at 03:11 #

Well now that’s a changer for the event.

Not sure on the colour shoes however. In one aspect, it gives more attention to the dress, as it should be. But she looks great and is definitely one of the BDOTN along with Nicole, Leslie, January and Julianne for me.

  33. Moxie September 24, 2012 at 03:06 #

I don’t usually like the skirt over skirt look — tends to look too much like an apron on a 50s housewife. That said, I kinda like this look. Don’t love it, but like it.

  34. Margaret September 24, 2012 at 03:04 #

This look is stunning on Emilia – so glad she’s finding her feet among TV royalty!

PS. And thank YOU, FC, for bringing us up-to-the-minute coverage. It’s a tough job and I know not a lot of people give you enough credit for it! ♥

    • Fashion Critic September 24, 2012 at 07:59 #

      thank you x

  35. Zoe September 24, 2012 at 02:48 #

I almost didn’t recognize her without platinum blonde hair! I was really torn on this look but the more I look at it the more I like it. It’s daring without being too out there.

I think this is going to become the love-it-or-hate-it look of the night (with the probable exception of Julianne Moore).

  36. Rafael September 24, 2012 at 02:44 #

    I LOOOVVVEEE this look… Beautiful

  37. EmmaWoodhouse September 24, 2012 at 02:42 #

Had this been a full-length gown, without the short underskirt (MULLET alert!) I would have liked it. Her hair and makeup go well with it. I just am thrown off by those details…and by her shoes. I do love the bodice, though.

  38. Hannah September 24, 2012 at 02:41 #

I honestly don’t like it. I did at first but the more I see it, the less I like it. I really dislike the shoes, especially right next to teh pristine white dres, and I just think that she looks very short in it.

  39. Koma September 24, 2012 at 02:40 #

Love it!!! definitely one of the best dressed of the night!

  40. Rebecca Z September 24, 2012 at 02:39 #

I actually don’t like this dress, but she is making it work. She is such a pretty woman.

    • tiffany September 24, 2012 at 22:15 #

pretty, but kinda ridiculous. there’s a gorgeous skirt underneath the shower curtain

  41. Christine September 24, 2012 at 02:38 #

    Love. She looks beautiful!
