One can always rely on Donna Karan to produce a beautiful collection that women really want to wear, and her Spring 2013 collection was no exception.
The muted colour palette of pale gold, midnight blue and dove grey also featured a bright pop of coral and vibrant pinks.
Each loosely constructed piece had an effortless feel to it. I imagine you could simply throw a piece and it would fall perfectly into place.
We saw gathered skirts, wrap dresses, strapless dresses, plunging dresses, cropped jackets, long-sleeve tops and a selection of gorgeous gowns headed for a red carpet very soon.
Despite my love for bright colours, I loved the deep-blue gowns with the watercolour splash on the skirt.
Key accessories included perspex headbands, cuffs and armlets by Stephen Jones, along with totes and sexy strappy sandals in a many colours.
The models’ hair was swept up into whipsy updos and Charlotte Tilbury for M.A.C. made the models’ eyes pop with fuchsia-pink eyeliner and mascara.

I would absolutely wear looks 2 and 4. Gorgeous!
I would add Nina Dobrev to the list
Wonderful Karan signature wearability with an Asian inspiration. This was a welcome collection that many women would seek out, I think.
The pink eyeliner is a great runway look, but as a street look would make me think conjunctivitis.
my thoughts exactly!
I think with a modified hem the navy gown with the splash will look amazing on someone with stature.
Cate Blanchett should wear that navy blue gown with the watercolor detail! It would be spectacular
I don’t like the pink eyeliner.
That deep blue gown is to die for! Beautiful collection
